Dieses Pedal braucht wahrscheinlich keine besondere Vorstellung mehr - wer die Pedal-Designs von Bjorn Juhl (BJF/BJFe) kennt, der weiß, dass es sich hier um eine seiner besten Kreationen handelt. Das Honey Bee Overdrive wurde vom Klang alter Supro-Verstärker inspiriert und ist vor allem für den warmen Overdrive Crunch bekannt, der sich flexibel kontrollieren lässt. Im Laufe der Jahre wurde das Pedal mehrmals überarbeitet, dabei ist die Version von One Control wahrscheinlich die Beste, da sie alle Verbesserungen der letzten Jahre beinhaltet. Zwei schaltbare Modi bestimmen den Klangcharakter des Pedals: Der Vintage-Modus (Original-Sound des Honey Bee OD) bietet einen milden, klassischen Overdrive mit einem einzigartigen Ansprechverhalten in den Höhen. Der Modern Mode ist der Sound des aktuellen Honey Bee OD und enthält alle vorherigen Revisionen. Im Vergleich zum Vintage-Modus erhält man hier inbesondere im Low-End mehr Gain und einen erweiterten Regelbereich für den Nature-Regler. Natürlich kann das Honey Bee OD auch von Bassisten verwendet werden.

This pedal needs no introduction. If you're familiar with the designs from Bjorn Juhl (BJF/BJFe) then you know that this is one of his best creations, inspired by the sound of an old Supro amp. The Honey Bee Overdrive is reknown for it's warm overdrive crunch which is easily adjustable by a twist of a knob. Over the years, there have been several revisions of this sought-after pedal and the One Control model is the best version yet, as it contains all the revisions and improvements from previous models. Two switchable modes set the general sound of the pedal: Vintage Mode (original sounding Honey Bee OD) provides a mild and classic overdrive tone with an unique high frequency response. Modern Mode is the sound of the current Honey Bee OD and includes all previous revisions. Compared to the Vintage mode, you'll notice increased gain, especially in the low ends and an extended control range for the Nature knob. Of course the Honey Bee OD can also be used by bassists.
