The Ground & Pound has been designed to combine the two pedals that Justin Chancellor uses to help achieve his signature distorted tone, the Turbo Rat with the Bass EQ, and it successfully combines them into a single box with a very compact and easy to use control layout.

We’ve also added a blend control, labelled ‘Mix‘,  which has a very musical compression ratio (2:1) on the clean signal. This mixes very well with the distorted sound and just adds to the overall playing experience.

Neptunium is, as its name implies, based on the Nobelium preamp, which is in turn based on the incredible Noble preamp. The key feature of Nobelium is the XLR D.I. output, which only uses one tube, so I was asked if it would be possible to squeeze just that part into a much smaller enclosure. The result is Neptunium.

Neptunium is a great-sounding, simple to use tube preamp with a D.I. output for going straight to front of house or a recording interface. It features a two-band tonestack based on the classic Fender/Marshall/Vox tonestack. Both controls are boost-only, so a “flat” response is achieved with both controls all the way off.

One way in which Neptunium differs from the Noble preamp is in volume controls; the volume control on the face affects the 1/4″ output, but rather than make the XLR output a fixed level, a separate volume control affecting the XLR output was added to the side of the pedal next to the XLR jack above the ground lift switch.

Simply connect CIOKS 4 Expander to your CIOKS DC7 via the courtesy 24V outlet and you are good to go.

Der LAB ist ein optischer Kompressor. Er verwendet spezielle Optokoppler, um eine musikalisch klingende Kompression von bis zu 30 dB zu erreichen.
Wir fanden es toll, wie die alten optischen Kompressoren wie der LA-2A, der LA-3 und der LA-4 im Aufnahmestudio selbst bei starker Kompression weich und natürlich klangen.

Die Essenz des LAB-Klangs kommt von den schnellen Attack- und langsamen Release-Zeiten des speziellen Optokopplers. Das Verhalten des Optokopplers ist recht komplex und programmabhängig. Es kann nicht mit einfachen Widerstands-Kondensator-Netzwerken modelliert werden. Wir wollten, dass das reine Verhalten des Optokopplers die Dynamik des LABs bestimmt und nicht durch RC-Filterung ergänzt wird.

The LAB is an optical compressor. It uses custom optocouplers to achieve up to 30dB of musical-sounding compression.
We loved how in the recording studio even with tons of compression the old optical compressors such as the LA-2A, the LA-3, the LA-4 sounded smooth and natural.

The essence of the LAB's sound comes from the fast attack and slow release times of the custom optocoupler. The optocoupler's behaviour is quite complex, and program-dependent. It can't be modelled with simple resistor-capacitor networks. We wanted the pure response of the optocoupler to define the LAB's dynamics, and not supplement that with RC filtering.

Ziel war es, Transparenz, Dynamik und Anschlag weiter zu verbessern, ohne den vertrauten Charakter zu verlieren. Grundlage ist eine komplett neu entwickelte Schaltung mit parallelem Clean-Blend in Studioqualität, die Obertöne, leichte Kompression und Durchsetzungskraft des Overdrives mit dem vollen Bass- und Dynamikumfang des Clean-Signals kombiniert.

Der Clean-Regler arbeitet nicht als einfacher Mischregler, sondern ist integraler Bestandteil der Schaltung. Ein Doppelpotentiometer sorgt dafür, dass Clean- und Drive-Signal über alle Gain-Einstellungen hinweg proportional und phasenstabil zusammenlaufen – ohne Lautstärkesprünge. Der Tone-Regler wirkt ausschließlich auf den Overdrive-Pfad, das Clean-Signal bleibt jederzeit unverändert. Eine ±9V-Doppelversorgung bietet deutlich mehr Headroom als klassische Bluesbreaker-Schaltungen und ermöglicht einen klaren, offenen Sound bei jeder Lautstärke.

Der Morning Glory Clean eignet sich als erste Overdrive-Stufe, als dynamischer Always-On-Sound, vor Verzerrern oder Delays sowie vor Amp-Modelern. Auch für Bass ist er dank des Clean-Blend-Reglers flexibel einsetzbar. Das Pedal richtet sich an Spielerinnen und Spieler, die keinen radikal neuen Klang suchen, sondern maximale Qualität, Direktheit und sofort nutzbare Sounds ohne überflüssige Funktionen.

The Morning Glory Clean is a logical evolution of the classic Morning Glory overdrive. The goal was to further improve transparency, dynamics, and attack without losing its familiar character. At its core is a completely redesigned circuit with a studio-quality parallel clean blend, combining the harmonics, subtle compression, and punch of the overdrive with the full bass and dynamic range of the clean signal.

The clean control isn't a simple mix control; it's an integral part of the circuit. A dual potentiometer ensures that the clean and drive signals blend proportionally and in phase across all gain settings—without any volume jumps. The tone control affects only the overdrive path; the clean signal remains unchanged at all times. A ±9V dual power supply provides significantly more headroom than classic Bluesbreaker circuits, delivering a clear, open sound at any volume.

The Morning Glory Clean is suitable as a first overdrive stage, as a dynamic always-on sound, before distortion or delay pedals, and before amp modelers. Thanks to the clean blend control, it's also versatile for bass. When we released our original Compressor back in 2011, it quickly became a favourite among guitar and bass players alike who were searching for something more than the typical oversimplified controls found on most compressor pedals. Although our original Compressor sounded great on bass (and still does!) we set out to do even better. 
On top of the full range of features and controls normally only seen in high end studio equipment, such as input and gain reduction metering, independent attack and release controls, a mix knob for parallel compression, and an external sidechain insert, we’ve now added a fully variable sidechain high pass filter, and a two position ‘tone + colour’ circuit which adds gentle tone sculpting and harmonic distortion, giving your bass some delicious character.

The micro-Thumpinator is a bandwidth optimizer designed for bass guitar. It removes the low frequency signals that are outside the range of notes produced by the instrument.

Infrasonic frequencies cannot be reproduced by standard bass cabinets but they often make amplifiers clip, especially when they are set to boost the lower frequencies. The Thumpinator filters the signal content optimising the energy delivered by the amplifier. Low-frequency clip is substantially reduced and the sound is tighter especially at high volume levels.

The micro-Thumpinator accepts instrument and line level signals. It can be used between preamplifier and amplifier, between bass and amplifier or anywhere in the effect chain (line or instrument level). It can also be connected directly to an audio interface.

The 23Fe was developed in 2023 in an effort to create a really bad transformer, while retaining somewhat of a decent frequency response, minimal insertion loss, and a robust enough build to handle getting tossed around without breakage.  Technically speaking, the worse a transformer performs, the more colorful it is.  Unfortunately with the 23Fe, it had a bit too many issues, so a revision was necessary.  During the manufacturing phase, the 23Fe had a 40% failure rate, which is obviously not good.  Furthermore, during the warranty period about 4% failed - also not good.  About 2% were returned because the buyer found it to be noisy and a small number of people reported they felt it was... believe it or not, "too colorful".  I can't please everyone, but I'm really trying with the new 23Fe+.

It features two independent, blendable filters designed to replicate the resonant peak characteristics of iconic basses like Alembic and Wal. The first filter sweeps from 50Hz to 6kHz with selectable Low-Pass or High-Pass modes, while the second sweeps from 120Hz to 4kHz with Low-Pass or Band-Pass options. Each filter includes a dedicated Resonance (RES) control to adjust the sharpness of the frequency peak from flat to highly boosted. An internal voltage doubler provides 36V of internal headroom when used with an 18V supply, ensuring high-fidelity signal processing without unwanted clipping.

The Alma Compressor MKII is an evolution of it’s predecessor; it retains all its original elements such as an internal voltage doubling circuit, and a Clean control to be blended with the compressed signal.

As a highlight, the new features of the MKII are a Ratio switch, allowing the user to select between 2:1, 4:1 and 8:1 compression Ratios, as well as a visual indication of how much compression is being applied to the input signal.
