The acclaimed Tall & Fat pedal is the premier accessory  for clonewheel organs. Digital organs do a great job of modeling the tonewheel, but fail to capture the dynamic behavior of the tube based AO-28 preamp. That’s where the Tall & Fat comes in. When added to a digital organ setup, the Tall & Fat provides the compression, second order harmonics, and dynamic drive characteristics of the famous tube preamp. If you’re in need of a strong boost that’s clean and clear, the Tall & Fat is that pedal.

It is a three stage FET preamp with gain staging.. The onset of overdrive is gradual and can be easily controlled with the swell pedal. It adds compression and 2nd order harmonics. With it’s drive and transparency, it works extremely well when overdriven, even with complex chord shapes.

Like all Lounsberry Pedals it sounds and plays more like an amp than a pedal, bringing to mind the tube driven AO-28 preamp. The Gear Grinder is based on the acclaimed Organ Grinder, only now it is in Stereo! The Organ Grinder was the first Lounsberry Pedal designed for keyboards. Developed with the aid of Roger Powell of Utopia and Meat Loaf fame, it provides a fat, tubelike overdrive for clonewheel organs that can cover the gamut of organ sounds from Greg Rollie, to Jon Lord, Uriah Heep, and even Canterbury sounds.

Like all Lounsberry Pedals it sounds and plays more like an amp than a pedal, bringing to mind the tube power amp section of an overdriven Leslie cabinet. As it easily handles the low notes, the Organ Grinder also sounds awesome with bass guitar. Itt is the ultimate shredding device for the keyboardist who wants to rock.

Operation is the same as the Organ Grinder. When channel one is the only input, the signal is routed to both outputs eliminating need for repatching when going from mono to stereo.

Gear Grinder

The Amp Rescue was so named after it was demonstrated through a small, solid state amp in a music store in Atlanta. The exclamation was heard, “Wow! It rescues a bad amp!”

It is a gain staged preamp with Germanium diodes. The onset of overdrive is gradual, but it adds compression and 2nd order harmonics and “sparkle”. The Amp Rescue pedal acts as an enhanced front end preamp for great sound through any amp, especially amps that lack punch and drive. It chimes in a way you never believed a pedal could, and it has been said to replace the chorus effect in some guitar rigs because of the lively top end.

Like all Lounsberry Pedals it sounds and plays more like a guitar amp than a guitar pedal The controls work the same, and the input is very responsive, ranging from a warm semi-clean to full on classic rock crunch and saturated lead tones.

The Amp Rescue provides a public service for users of “fairly good” equipment and provides the dynamic touch response of a vintage tube amplifier.

Turn the Drive to noon, and Jack gets a lot more aggressive. This is where the sonic sweetness of favorite fuzz pedals from years passed. The chords begin to heat up and melt into sonic bliss.
