Was ist daran so besonders?

Die meisten E-Gitarren sind mit passiven Tonabnehmern ausgestattet und haben eine entsprechend hohe Ausgangsimpedanz. Bei Verwendung eines Gitarrenkabels von 6m oder länger geht im Höhenbereich je länger je mehr vom Gitarren-Sound verloren. Ein Puffer kompensiert diese Signalbeeinträchtigung und somit den Sound-Verlust für lange Kabel – selbst, wenn die Stimmfunktion aus ist.

Der ULTRA-BUFFER verbessert die Klangqualität im Bypass-Betrieb und erhält bei Verwendung eines langen Kabels somit den Sound, ganz gleich, ob es direkt mit dem Tuner oder zunächst mit einem komplexen Effekt-Board verbunden ist.

Der Pitchblack XS erlaubt Wechsel zwischen dem True Bypass- und dem Ultra Buffer-Modus, um in jeder Lebenslage den optimalen Sound zu erzielen.

The Pitchblack XS not only features a true bypass for outputting the sound exactly as it was input, but now includes a built-in ULTRA BUFFER.

Why is this important?

The majority of electric guitars use passive pickups with a high impedance output. When you are using a cable there is a loss of tone, usually high frequencies, after about 6 m (around 18 feet) and this problem gets worse the longer your cable. A buffer boosts the signal over long cables to avoid loss of tone, keeping it clean and clear - even when your pedal is off.

The ULTRA BUFFER enhances the sound quality in bypass mode, so that you can still maintain audio quality even when using a long cable to connect to the tuner, or when inserting the tuner into a complex effects board.

On the Pitchblack XS, you can switch between true bypass and the ULTRA BUFFER, according to your tastes and environment.

ARIGATO versucht weder, die Klänge der Vergangenheit wiederzubeleben, noch, auf dem neuesten Stand der Technik zu sein. Es ist eine Momentaufnahme der Zukunft, die uns als Kinder versprochen wurde. Es ist unser Dankeschön an die Kunden, die uns jahrelang um einen Phaser gebeten haben. (Ernsthaft? Ein Phaser???)  

Während er die luftige Psychedelik klassischer Geräte beherrscht, wurde dieser Phaser entwickelt, um zu rumpeln, zu wackeln, zu beben, zu klappern und zu brüllen. Er kann vollständig wet für interessante Vibrato-Sounds eingesetzt werden, mit maximalem Feedback für Auto-Wah-Sweeps sorgen und bietet eine breite Palette an nuancierten Klangfarben, die sich dynamisch durch die Interaktion der Regler entfalten.  

Wir sind ziemlich begeistert von diesem Release – das erste Pedal, das Philippe je besaß, war ein Phaser, unser Team ist verrückt nach Phase-Shifting, und diese Veröffentlichung fühlt sich an wie nach Hause kommen.  

Für alle, die dachten, sie würden keinen Chorus mögen, sich dann aber in unser Somersault™ verliebt haben – wir glauben, ihr werdet dieses Ding auch lieben. Wir stehen zwar auf klassische One-Knob-Geräte mit ihrem kompromisslosen WHOOSH-Ansatz, aber es gibt eine Welt voller subtiler Nuancen und unterschiedlicher Bewegungen zu entdecken – und Arigato ist bereit dafür.

A phaser even for people who don't normally like phasers, Arigato™ delivers incredible modulation, range, and warmth. 

ARIGATO neither seeks to recapture the sounds of the past, nor to be state of the art. It is a snapshot of a future we were promised as children. It is our way of saying thank you to customers who for years asked us for a phaser. (Really? A phaser???)

While capable of the airy psychedelia of classic units, this one is meant to rumble, wobble, shake, rattle, and roar. It is also capable of going fully wet for interesting vibrato sounds, max feedback for auto-wah sweeps, and a wide range of responsive shades throughout each control as they interact with the others.

We’re pretty excited about this release; the first pedal Philippe ever owned was a phaser, our team is a bunch of phase shifting nuts, and releasing this feels like coming home.

For those of you who didn't think you'd like a chorus, but fell in love with our Somersault™ pedal - we think you're going to really love this thing too. While we love classic one-knob units and their ALL CAPS WHOOSH approach to phasing, there's a world of subtle shading and different movement to be explored, and Arigato is here for it.

Mike Matthews, der Gründer von Electro-Harmonix, ist eine schillernde Figur. Mike Matthews, the founder of Electro-Harmonix, is a colorful figure. The hippie movement and Jimi Hendrix's evolution of the electric guitar served as a catalyst for him to develop the Big Muff distortion unit, which is still popular today. After phenomenal growth of his company in the golden age of rock'n'roll, the 1970s, disillusionment followed in the early 1980s - and finally bankruptcy.

Der SansAmp Bass Driver DI ist viel mehr als nur eine Direktbox. Er kann große Vintage-Röhrensounds, helle moderne Slap-Sounds, knorrige Verzerrungen und alles dazwischen erzeugen. Drei verschiedene Ausgänge zum Ansteuern von Endstufen, Aufnahmepulten, PA-Mischpulten oder einfach zum Verbessern Ihres aktuellen Rigs. Zu den Reglern gehören Presence für die Definition und den oberen Obertongehalt, Blend, um das Verhältnis von Direktsignal und SansAmp-Schaltung zu kombinieren, und ein aktiver EQ, der mit 12 dB Absenkung oder Anhebung speziell auf den Bass abgestimmt ist.

Da die Popularität von 5- und 6-saitigen Bässen den Status einer Modeerscheinung überschritten hat und zum Mainstream geworden ist, haben wir einen Schalter hinzugefügt, mit dem die Bassfrequenz so eingestellt werden kann, dass sie auch in die tieferen Lagen reicht. Außerdem haben wir einen Regler für die Mitten und einen Schalter zur Einstellung ihrer Frequenz hinzugefügt. Der Kern des SansAmp Bass Driver und alle seine Töne bleiben dem ursprünglichen Design treu.

Ob sich das NSG klanglich mit seinem radikalen Ansatz von den Mitbewerbern absetzt, soll dieser Test herausfinden.

The NSG: Noise Gate comes as a response to these annoyances. Utilizing an adjustable threshold level to filter out sounds below a certain threshold, allowing for only the desired audio to be seized.

Der Bass Chorus Deluxe verfügt über Flanger- und X-Over-Tasten auf der Oberseite mit LED-Statusanzeigen. Im X-Over-Modus wird die Modulation in den tiefen Frequenzen auf 100 Hz abgesenkt - perfekt für das Spielen von Akkorden, Melodien und Fills in den oberen Registern, während die tiefen Frequenzen in der richtigen Stimmung bleiben. Mit den Reglern für Bass und Treble können Sie die Tiefen und Höhen absenken oder anheben und den Klangcharakter des Effekts gestalten. Für einen breiten Stereosound können Sie über einen internen Schalter den TRS (Tip-Ring-Sleeve) Stereo Hardwire Bypass Mode wählen. In diesem Modus können Sie ein TRS-auf-TS-(Tip-Sleeve)-Y-Verteilerkabel verwenden, um das Effektsignal an zwei verschiedene Verstärker zu senden, so dass die Modulation von links nach rechts wandern kann.

The Bass Chorus Deluxe features top-mounted Flanger and X-Over buttons with LED status indicators. In X-Over Mode, modulation in low frequencies is decreased at 100Hz—perfect for playing upper register chords, melodies and fills while keeping the low end in tune. With Bass and Treble controls you can cut or boost lows and highs and shape the tonal character of the effect. For a wide stereo sound, select the TRS (tip-ring-sleeve) Stereo Hardwire Bypass Mode via an internal switch. In this mode, you can use a TRS to TS (tip-sleeve) Y-splitter cable to send the effect signal to two different amplifiers, allowing the modulation to move from left to right.
