The Boss DD-2 Digital Delay — one of the best digital delays pedals out there that actually sounds very analog. These were made in the mid 80s and are still sought after due to their warm delays and smooth but hazy decays. A few delay time modes offer up to 800 milliseconds plus a cool sample/hold feature that is really great for sustains or small loopy bits.

The legendary BOSS DD-3 Digital Delay has been an integral part of countless pedalboards since 1986 with its great sound and easy operation. The DD-3T brings the stomp box classic into the modern age and combines the original sound quality and usability with significantly expanded functionality. From now on you can tap in the delay tempo using the integrated pedal button as well as an external foot switch and choose from three note subdivisions. In addition, the direct output is now located directly next to the main output and enables more convenient wiring for wet/dry setups.

DD-3T Digital Delay

The SG-1 filters out the attack of your note, and swells the volume automatically. There are only 2 controls, one for the attack speed, and the other for sensitivity. The attack knob controls the speed of the volume swells. A compressor or overdrive in front of it may be helpful to minimize the variations in your signal level for the SG-1's response. Used with a delay it sounds sort of like a more articulated E-bow or a passage played backwards. The SG-1 circuit is very similar to the NF-1. The pedal was in fact made using the exact same circuit as the NF-1 but the way it works is completely opposite. With the NF-1, the sound decays away but is cut when it falls below a threshold. With the SG-1, the attack is filtered out and then the sound increases gradually. The Slow Gear is a rather unique effect and the SG-1 has become one of the hardest Boss pedals to get hold of.

Launched in 1976, the CE-1 Chorus Ensemble was not only the world’s first chorus effect pedal, but also the very first BOSS pedal. Three years later, this inventive new sound was squeezed into the blue CE-2 Chorus, and chorus pedals have remained in the compact lineup ever since. Four decades on, the spacious modulated tone of the signature BOSS effect is still loved by musicians everywhere. In 2016, to celebrate the 40th anniversary of BOSS innovation, the original analog chorus sounds are now reborn with the Waza Craft CE-2W. The CE-2W’s Standard mode faithfully recreates the classic CE-2 chorus sound, and adds an expansive new sound field with stereo output, which was unavailable in the mono CE-2. CE-1 mode fully reproduces the stereo chorus and vibrato sounds of the legendary CE-1, with the addition of variable chorus depth not available in the original pedal. To commemorate the birth of BOSS effects, the CE-2W is made exclusively in Japan, just as the original CE-1 and CE-2 were.
