That's why we at Dunlop worked with Joe to develop the Joe Bonamassa Signature Cry Baby, specially engineered to fit in perfectly with Joe's system, from the way it looks to the way it sounds. On the outside, it sports a classy copper top with a smooth-finish black body. On the inside, it features large, vintage-style thru-hole components, a Halo inductor (for added harmonic content), an output buffer (to prevent impedance imbalance with vintage fuzz pedals), and a switch for true-bypass or non-true-bypass operation (Joe prefers non-True Bypass as it darkens the high end). Das DOD Carcosa Fuzz ist ein Tor in ein alternatives Fuzz Universum, wo klassisch legendäre Sounds mit zerschellten pollokschen, abstraken Gemälden. Der After Bias Regler des Carcosa Fuzz in Kombination mit den beiden Kippschalter-Stellungen schafft eine episch weite tonale Bandbreite von knusprig fettiger Schweineschwarte bis hin zum Rascheln von trockenem Pergament. Seine Vielseitigkeit macht das Carcosa Fuzz zum perfekten Kumpanen für angezerrte oder cleane Amps. True Bypass, Tonnen an Output, das Antlitz des “Königs in Gelb“ setzen das Carcosa in Szene für fuzzige Crazyness! Das DOD Carcosa Fuzz verfügt über eine (leicht) übertriebene Mid-Range und sein Treble Charakter stellt im Mix ganz weit nach vorne. Designt um sich gegen stahlharte Riffs durchzusetzen und auch beim Akkordspiel ungemeine Artikulation der einzelnen Töne zu bieten. Allerdings sind mit extremen Bias (AFTER) Einstellungen eine Menge abgefahren kranke Over-the-Top Sounds möglich. Nun nach langem Warten ist dieses einzigartige und langerwartete Fuzz auch in Europa erhältlich.

The DOD Carcosa Fuzz is a doorway into an alternate fuzz universe, where classic tones of legend coexist with splattered and shattered Pollock abstractions. Combining the Carcosa’s wide-ranging AFTER bias control with two toggle positions creates tones that range from porcine fatness to dessicated shards. This versatility makes the Carcosa Fuzz a good companion for dirty or clean amps. True bypass, tons of output, and the visage of the King in Yellow sets the stage for fuzzy madness. The DOD Carcosa Fuzz has an exaggerated mid-range and treble character that help it stand out in a mix. It has been designed to cut through a dense and heavy band but still have great note articulation with chords. However, when extreme bias (AFTER) ranges are selected many wild and over-the-top sounds are possible.

Dieser Effekt, der in den Achtzigern in einigen berühmten Gitarrenaufnahmen auftauchte, war damals für uns “normale” Musiker kaum erschwinglich. Aber diese Zeiten haben sich glücklicherweise geändert. Pitch-Effekte sind inzwischen im Effektangebot vieler Hersteller zu recht günstigen Kursen zu finden.

The EHX Pitch Fork transposes an instrument’s pitch over a +/- three octave range and features three modes which allow the pitch to be transposed up, down or both, simultaneously. The pitch shift amount can be set to a fixed interval or continuously varied by an expression pedal or control voltage.
