Er verfügt über drei Regler: Level, Compression und Release, mit denen Lautstärke, Kompressionsstärke und Ausklingzeit eingestellt werden können. Das Pedal sorgt für ein weiches und natürliches Sustain und erhält dabei den ursprünglichen Klang und die Dynamik des Instruments. Es liefert eine subtile Kompression, die sich gut für Rhythmus- oder Clean-Lead-Sounds eignet. Der FX80B gehört zur klassischen analogen Serie von DOD und wurde in den USA gefertigt.

The DOD FX80B Compressor Sustainer is an updated version of the original FX80 introduced in the mid 1980s. It features three controls: Level, Compression, and Release, allowing users to adjust output volume, compression strength, and release time. The pedal provides smooth and natural sustain while maintaining the original tone and dynamics of the instrument. It delivers subtle compression suitable for rhythm or clean lead tones. The FX80B is part of DOD’s classic analog series and was manufactured in the United States.

Das TC Electronic Eyemaster ist eine Kopie des Boss HM-2 Pedals, welches für den Kettensägensound der Schwedischen Death Metal Bewegung der 90er Jahre steht. Ich selber besitze ein Boss HM2 (Made in Taiwan), zwei Bausätze „Das HmTwo“ von „das Musikding“ und jetzt auch das TC Electronic Eyemaster. Das Eyemaster verfügt nur über Gain und Volume Regler, auf den EQ wurde verzichtet.

Just set the volume (all the way up, right?) and adjust the gain (anything less than all-the-gain is sacrilege) and start riffing.

Ein Jahr später, 1986, erschien die “Power Series”, bzw. die 10er Reihe, zu der der TS10 zählt, mit mehr Veränderungen in der Schaltung. Hier wurden sehr kostengünstige Komponenten verbaut, die Stecker sind nicht am Gehäuse, sondern auf der Platine verschraubt und das Chassis ist dünner. Gegen Ende der Produktion wurden einige TS10 in Taiwan gebaut und mit dem MC4558 Chip versehen. Die frühen Made in Japan TS10 sind mittlerweile trotz der erwähnten Abstriche sehr gefragt, nicht zuletzt, weil auch John Mayer mittlerweile dieses Pedal benutzt.

As with other Tube Screamers, the TS10 features the same three controls: Drive, Tone and Level. This model in particular is extremely responsive to the dynamics of your playing, making it a great pedal to crank up and then control via your guitar’s volume knob, for all the control over your overdrive you could want. Mit einem kontinuierlich veränderbaren Q-Regler für jedes Band, der eine größere Vielfalt an Klangkreationen ermöglicht, bietet er noch präzisere Klanggestaltungsmöglichkeiten. Darüber hinaus sorgt die ±9V Stromversorgungstechnik für eine hohe Headroom. Damit eignet sich der parametrische Equalizer nicht nur für E-Gitarren, sondern auch für Signalquellen mit höherem Pegel wie E-Bässe und Keyboards.

The Pentatone Equalizer is a standalone version of the 5-band equalizer section in the Ibanez Pentatone Preamp. Adding a continuously variable Q control on each band, which allows for a wider variety of sound creation, enables even more detailed sound creation.
