The original version of the Ibanez Tube King (known as the TK999) was produced for a short time in Japan before production moved to the US. The US-made models bear the designation TK999US.
The Japan model featured a noise suppressor while the USA Model didn't. It's a great pedal and can run on 12AX7, 12AT7, or 12AY7 type tubes or the like. It also features a 3-band EQ to dial in some great tones.

The same analog Tremolo circuit found in our Classic mono Tremolo pedal but with added Stereo circuitry. You can get the same classic Tremulator tone with one amplifier. Or hook up two amplifiers for the sweeping, pulsing sound of stereo. With both phase and sync controls all sorts of cool stereo effects are possible.

Designed to emulate the classic Fender tremolo effect (or vibrato as it is often referred to), the Stereo Tremulator features “lopsided” amplitude modulation with a rounded off triangular modulated waveform. In the stereo mode the super cool tone of a Magnatone Amplifierís Tremolo is reproduced.

Mike got as close as he could to the tone, and most importantly, the feel of the amp. If you are to run the MESHUGGAH into the power section of a MESHUGGAH amp, or even into the IR section of the Neural DSP Nameless X suite, the tonal differences are extremely hard to hear.

The EP-1 is compatible with a large range of digital amps, effects units, MIDI controllers and stomp boxes, and can be used anywhere you would use a Roland EV-5, M-Audio EXP, Boss FV500, or similar pedal. Ein Jahr später, 1986, erschien die “Power Series”, bzw. die 10er Reihe, zu der der TS10 zählt, mit mehr Veränderungen in der Schaltung. Hier wurden sehr kostengünstige Komponenten verbaut, die Stecker sind nicht am Gehäuse, sondern auf der Platine verschraubt und das Chassis ist dünner. Gegen Ende der Produktion wurden einige TS10 in Taiwan gebaut und mit dem MC4558 Chip versehen. Die frühen Made in Japan TS10 sind mittlerweile trotz der erwähnten Abstriche sehr gefragt, nicht zuletzt, weil auch John Mayer mittlerweile dieses Pedal benutzt.

As with other Tube Screamers, the TS10 features the same three controls: Drive, Tone and Level. This model in particular is extremely responsive to the dynamics of your playing, making it a great pedal to crank up and then control via your guitar’s volume knob, for all the control over your overdrive you could want. Starting with the Tone and Drive around 9:00, it’s fun to try out different settings, both on the pedal itself, and playing with your guitar’s controls. Der Pentatone Equalizer ist eine eigenständige Version des 5-Band-Equalizer-Teils im Ibanez Pentatone Preamp. Mit einem kontinuierlich veränderbaren Q-Regler für jedes Band, der eine größere Vielfalt an Klangkreationen ermöglicht, bietet er noch präzisere Klanggestaltungsmöglichkeiten. Darüber hinaus sorgt die ±9V Stromversorgungstechnik für eine hohe Headroom. Damit eignet sich der parametrische Equalizer nicht nur für E-Gitarren, sondern auch für Signalquellen mit höherem Pegel wie E-Bässe und Keyboards.

The Pentatone Equalizer is a standalone version of the 5-band equalizer section in the Ibanez Pentatone Preamp. Adding a continuously variable Q control on each band, which allows for a wider variety of sound creation, enables even more detailed sound creation. Furthermore, the ±9V power supply circuitry provides a wide headroom. That makes the parametric equalizer suitable for not only electric guitars but also higher-level output signal equipment such as electric bass guitars and keyboards.
