The Data Corrupter is a “wild, yet repeatable” three-voice Modulated Monophonic Harmonizing PLL (phase-locked loop)  that takes your input signal and “brutally amplifies it into a crushing square wave fuzz tone that is then multiplied, divided, and modulated” to create a harmonically complex, expressive, and touch-responsive analog synth tone up to three octaves below (or above) the original, plus additional harmonies. To unleash the cracked machine lurking within the Data Corrupter mainframe, set the Subharmonic Root switch to Oscillator and try not to look away as the sonic malware you just installed mangles your input signal into the sum and difference of both the Master Oscillator and Subharmonic with the Frequency Modulator applied to the upper and lower octaves.

The Grand Orbiter is a four stage analog phaser that offers classic and unconventional phaser and vibrato sounds, it can go from stationary and resonant to fast and swirly. The Grand Orbiter can be turned from phaser to vibrato via a dedicated switch and features a three way toggle switch to select between the ranges of modulation. One of these ranges, kills the LFO and allows the Grand Orbiter to work as a fixed resonant filter. The three ranges offer the following modes: Slow Sweep, Fixed Resonance and Fast Sweep. The Rate control allows to fine tune the speed of the LFO in each one of the modes. It can be activated in standard latching operation or in momentary operation, by just holding the footswitch down for as long as you'd use the effect. The Bit Commander is a monophonic analog guitar synthesizer with four octaves of vintage square wave synth tones. So it takes a normal single guitar note and turns it into a fat vintage synth sound in no time. The Voltage Unit Meter Pedal (“VUMP”) is a guitar pedal-style level indication meter. This unit reads out signal level in the
traditional “Voltage Unit” (VU) scale, which is similar to a decibel (dB) scale, but pegged to a reference value of 0
VU=1.23VRMS. Since sound levels span many decades of pressure intensity, it is convenient to express the level in the
logarithmic dB scale. An increase of 6 dB sounds about twice as loud as the reference sound level.
The intended use for this device is to be the last “pedal” in a chain of pedals connected to an electronic instrument such
as an electric guitar or bass guitar, or microphone. It provides a convenient, local measure of your signal level just before
going to the amp or a sound board. You can also precisely equalize the volume settings of your pedals using this device.

The 432k Rev2 is a high-end distortion/filter box combining a hybrid diode/transistor ladder filter with a clean signal path, which then feeds into a transistor drive stage and op-amp style fuzz. It features CV control of the filter cutoff, a low-cut toggle for guitar use, and a noise/feedback loop for experimental tones. CIOKS 4 Expander is the perfect companion to CIOKS DC7 in case you would like four additional outlets with four selectable voltages on each tap (9, 12, 15 and 18V DC) which can each deliver 660mA at 9V DC. Simply connect CIOKS 4 Expander to your CIOKS DC7 via the courtesy 24V outlet and you are good to go.

But that is definitely not all – what makes CIOKS 4 Expander truly unique is the fact that you can power it with anything from 9V to 24V DC or 9V to 12V AC via the non-polarized DC socket input. Furthermore CIOKS 4 can even be powered by connecting it to a USB powerbank via its 5V USB C input or by using a tablet or laptop power supply with a USB C plug. This flexibility means that you can use CIOKS 4 Expander as a stand-alone unit and power it with almost any adapter including the 1-SPOT or GigRig Generator. Das Fulltone Clyde Wah-Wah Pedal entstand nach eingehender Analyse von Michaels Fullers 25 Stück umfassender Sammlung alter VOX-Pedale. Da ihm die alten VOX-Teile nicht genug Regelweg hatten, entwickelte er sein eigenes, seinen Vorstellungen entsprechendes Pedalgehäuse. Auf der handverdrahteten Platine des Clyde Deluxe findet man denn auch erlesene Bauteile wie z. B. Kohleschicht-Widerstände, NOS(New old Stock)Tropical Fish 0,22 Kondensatoren, GE (General Electric) 0,1 Kondensatoren sowie natürlich eine speziell nach Fulltone-Vorgaben gefertigte Spule. Durch die s. g. Resonance Control, ein Trimpoti auf der Platine, läßt sich die Bass-Wiedergabe nach persönlichem Geschmack regeln. Das ebenfalls speziell für Fulltone angefertigte Tone Poti verfügt über die gleiche Kennline, welche man bei den Icar Potis der 60er Jahre VOX-Ära findet.

The Fulltone Clyde wah-wah pedal was created after analysing Michael Fuller's collection of 25 old VOX pedals. Since the old VOX parts didn't have enough control travel, he developed his own pedal housing according to his ideas. The hand-wired circuit board of the Clyde Deluxe features exquisite components such as carbon film resistors, NOS (New Old Stock) Tropical Fish 0.22 capacitors, GE (General Electric) 0.1 capacitors and, of course, a coil specially manufactured according to Fulltone specifications. The so-called Resonance Control, a trimpot on the circuit board, allows the bass response to be adjusted to personal taste. The tone pot, also specially made for Fulltone, has the same characteristic curve as the Icar pots of the 60s VOX era.

Clyde Deluxe Wah

Der amerikanische Effektpedal-Hersteller Xotic ist bekannt für seine gut klingenden Overdrive-Pedale. Auf der NAMM 2019 in Anaheim zeigte er zwei interessante Neuheiten, die das Portfolio zukünftig ergänzen werden: den Xotic Super Sweet Booster und den Xotic Super Clean Buffer.

The Xotic Super Clean buffer landed on my board in an attempt to fight a major tone loss issue caused by my GigRig QuarterMaster loop switcher (check out my QuarterMaster review to learn more). Since I discovered that tone issue with the switcher, I started looking for possible simple cures that can bring sanity back to my board. I was really trying to avoid getting into replacing my QuarterMaster, simply because I had a really tough year, full of gear issues, technicians and technical support and I just got tired of it. I ended up getting an Xotic Super Clean and I'm very happy with it so far. My clean tone has never been so good through any pedal board before, with or without the switcher.
