That's where the EP103 Echoplex Delay comes in. It's the size of a Phase 90, and it delivers the EP-3's legendary tones with a simple control interface and a hi-fi all-analog dry path. The Delay control sets the time between repeats—from 65ms to 750ms—the Sustain control sets the number of repeats, and the Volume control sets the output level of your repeats.

EP101 Echoplex Preamp

Introduced by VOX in 1967, the wah-wah pedal evolved from the mid-range boost function of a VOX amplifier and was initially marketed as a way to emulate the sound of a muted trumpet. However, it was soon reworked for rock guitarists and re-released as the V846 to keep pace with its unintended but music-changing use on electric guitars by famous artists such as Jimi Hendrix and Eric Clapton. From the 1960s to today, the wah pedal has become an indispensable tool for guitarists.

The new V846 Vintage Wah pedal perfectly replicates this second wah model down to the component level. VOX engineers have worked hard to unlock the secrets of the Vintage V846 wah model, and the result is a pedal that meticulously recreates its exact tonal characteristics.

Der Feind heißt Kapazität, ein Problem das bei zu langen Kabelwegen undn ich zuletzt schlechten Schaltungen auftritt und das Signal High End kostet und es schwach und charakterlos klingen lässt. Ein Trugschluss, der dies noch unterstützt is die Annahme dass True Bypass immer gut ist, denn ganz stimmt dies leider nicht. Der Little Black Buffer kommt genau hier ins Spiel und versorgt dein Rig mit genau der richtigen Eingangsimpedanz, damit du am Ende einen klaren, natürlichen Sound hast, der klingt als hättest du dich direkt in den Amp gestöpselt.

This may be the greatest weapon you didn’t know you needed. For those of us who are a little “pedal happy” there can be some downfall to our tone. When running a pedal board with more than one or two effects, something called “capacitance” happens. This natural problem happens due to the amount of cable or line that your signal has to travel through, not to mention bad switching systems in certain pedals. The result is a very audible amount of high-end loss, weak signal, flabby bass and uncharacteristic pickup behavior in guitars. Another problem is the assumption that all “true bypass” is good. This isn’t true and actually can be worse than imagined. This is where the “Little Black Buffer” steps in providing the perfect input impedance to your rig and giving you the final result of clear, natural tone that sounds like you're plugged straight into your amp.

The combination of Raysistor and all-tube circuitry tube creates an exceptionally smooth, rich and musical tremolo effect that blends well with clean and overdriven guitar sounds. The true stereo signal path allows the Delta-Trem to operate as a mono tremolo with a single guitar amp or into two amps, where the sound ping-pongs between them creating a huge, 3-D, spacious tone.

If you use effects pedals, whether on stage or in the studio, running them from a high-quality power supply is essential to getting the best performance and lowest noise out of them. The best power supplies have regulated, electrically isolated outputs, and that gives the same electrical separation as when running the pedals from batteries — but without the obvious disadvantages! Die JHS Colour Box V2 ist ein Preamp / DI-Box nach dem Vorbild legendärer Neve Studio-Konsolen. Das Pedal wurde entwickelt um den authentischen Sound eines Instruments (oder Mikrofons) am Direct-In der Mischpulte zu reproduzieren, dabei bietet die Colour Box V2 alle Features der beliebten V1-Version und kommt zusätzlich mit einer Vielzahl an Verbesserungen und neuen Features, die das Pedal zu einem perfekten Allrounder und Always-On Pedal für alle denkbaren Instrumente und sogar für Sänger machen. Zu den neuen Features zählen eine erweiterte EQ-Sektion, ein Hi/Lo Schalter für massiven, cleanen Headroom und die Möglichkeit 48V Phantom-Power an Kondensator-Mikrofone weiterzugeben. Die Gain-Sektion (Rot) bietet Regelmöglichkeiten Master, Pre-Vol und Step. Master kontrolliert das Gesamt-Volume des Pedals, Pre-Vol arbeitet als Gain-Regler zwischen den beiden internen Gain Stages und bietet bei Bedarf eine Verzerrung, die von leichten Break-Up-Sounds bis zu Fuzz reicht. Der Step-Regler verändert das Gain der Preamp Stages in fünf Schritten. Der Hi/Lo Schalter verändert den cleanen Headroom des Pedals, der -20 dB Pad Schalter passt den Input bei Bedarf an Mikrofone mit einem hohen Ausgangspegel an. Die EQ-Sektion (Blau) wurden neben den bekannten Regler für Treble, Middle und Bass (+/- 17 dB Cut / Boost in jedem Band) um drei Shift-Regler erweitert, die den Frequenzbereich der einzelnen Regler anpassen. Die Hi-Pass-Sektion wird über den Kippschalter aktiviert. Um das Pedal so flexibel wie möglich zu halten steht ein kombinierter XLR/TRS Input zur Verfügung.

The JHS Colour Box V2 has all the same functionality of the popular V1 version with many new and improved additions like expanded EQ controls, a Hi/Lo switch for massive clean headroom, and the ability to pass phantom power to your condenser mics. The Gain section in red has three controls: Master, Pre-Vol, and Step. The Master volume controls the overall volume of the unit. The Pre-Vol controls the amount of gain between the two internal gain stages. This acts as a "drive" or "gain" control, adding more grit, distortion, and even fuzz as you increase the gain. The Step control increases the gain of each preamp stage in five stages. Rotating the Step knob from left-to-right will increase the gain by the following: 1st is +18 dB, 2nd is +23 dB, 3rd is +28 dB, 4th is +33 dB, 5th is +39 dB. The JHS Colour Box V2 has a new Hi/Lo switch to control the amount of clean headroom you have available. In the Lo mode, you will easily be able to get ultra clean sounds without breakup. Lo Mode is excellent for tone shaping when distortion is not needed. In the Hi mode, the Colour Box V2 will distort much more readily, giving you a broad spectrum of overdrive, distortion, and fuzz sounds. In addition to the Hi / Lo gain switch, there is a -20 dB pad switch on the right side of the Colour Box V2. This function only works when in XLR input mode and can help tame the volume for high output microphones. The EQ section in blue has three new Shift controls correlating to its standard Treble, Middle and Bass controls. The Shift knobs adjust the range of frequencies that the Treble, Middle, and Bass knobs control. The center frequencies for the Shift knobs are Treble 10kHz, Middle 1kHz, and Bass 120Hz, while the Treble, Middle, and Bass knobs boost or cut with +/- 17 dB of control. If you want to boost high-mid frequencies, turn the Mid Shift knob to 3 o'clock or above and increase the Middle knob above 12 o'clock. If you want to cut upper treble frequencies, turn the Treble Shift knob to 3 o'clock or above and set the Treble knob below 12 o'clock. The Shift knobs give you precision control over the EQ for anything you put through the Colour Box V2. The Hi-Pass section is enabled by the toggle switch below the Hi-Pass knob. Just flip it up to engage the Hi-Pass knob, which spans from 60Hz to 800Hz with a 6dB per octave slope. The Colour Box V2 has a combination XLR and 1/4" input jack to use either an instrument or microphone. Select your input with the input selector switch on the right side of the pedal labeled INST/XLR.

Ok, so you have eight effects pedals which you use regularly. You use various combinations of these pedals in various songs, but you are not good at tap dancing…or you are just clumsy and have (once or twice) stepped on the ultra tricked out-metalized-distortion pedal for the lead in your one ABBA cover. You have seen the digital effects controllers they use on the big stages, and have secretly yearned for one… even though you may never make the big stage. Enter Thomas Guldmann’s Octa-switch MK3. Your eight effects plug into the eight effects-loops on the back of this unit (all true-bypass, impedance free, gold relays so you can run any of your pedals, new and old without problem), and then by turning on or off the numbered switches in each of eight DIP Bank switches, you determine which effects you wish to use simultaneously in each Bank. There is a blue LED for every effects loop used and for each Bank (so once you are programmed, when you step on Bank 6 you will see the lights of all the effects you have assigned to Bank 6 and the Bank 6 LED). The Octa-switch MK3 has incorporated a couple new features as well! The ninth switch on the left side of the case is a BYPASS Switch….this allows you to completely bypass all eight pedals and enjoy only the unaffected sound of your amplifier. There are also two External Switching jacks which allow you to use two amplifiers and/or switch channels on those amps. Once you have all the Banks programmed, we recommend placing a piece of scotch or electrical tape over each DIP (….just to protect the switch from accidental switching, damage or floods….like beer). There is a buffered (or not….switchable) Mono input and a stereo Output, and the unit is powered by dual 9v batteries, or by a regulated power supply…like the PowerJack or the Pro Power (both by Carl Martin).

Nun, auf den ersten Blick sieht es aus wie viele andere Carl Martin-Pedale... es gibt einen High Gain-Kanal, der jede Menge Bässe und schöne knackige Höhen hat, einen sehr dynamischen Crunch-Kanal, der die Mitten mit sehr wenig Kompression betont, und natürlich den berühmten 12db Boost-Kanal, den wir alle so gut kennen.

So what is this crazy pedal? Well, at first glance it looks like many other Carl Martin pedals…there is a High Gain channel which has loads of bottom end and nice crisp highs, a very dynamic Crunch channel which emphasises the mids with very little compression, and of course that famous 12db Boost channel that we are all so familiar with.
