Gleichzeitig zeichnet es dich durch eine echte Old-School-Schaltung aus, die für eine Portion „Grind“ sorgt. Das Ergebnis ist ein Sound, der einem sofort vertraut und gleichzeitig wundervoll einzigartig ist. Wünschen Sie sich die Strahlkraft und den straffen Sound eines Overdrives? Kriegen Sie. Mit dem Gain-Regler des Zoar decken Sie die gesamte Klang-Landschaft ab; von knirschenden Abgründen bis zu markerschütternden Gipfeln. Der Charakter der Verzerrung hängt stark von der Einstellung des Weight-Reglers sowie vom Pickup Ihrer Gitarre ab. Mit dem EQ-Bereich des Pedals können Sie den Sound weiter verfeinern.
Obwohl der passive Dreiband-Equalizer seine Wurzeln in einer sehr vertrauten Vergangenheit hat, wurde er subtil modernisiert. Diese Art der Klangformung mag zunächst schlicht wirken, zeigt sich aber dann doch als komplex und ausgesprochen interaktiv. Hier sind ein paar Hinweise, wie Sie den Zoar besser verstehen und optimal einsetzen können.
Wenn die Regler Bass, Middle und Treble alle auf Null gestellt sind, durchläuft kein Signal das Pedal. So funktioniert ein passiver Equalizer nun mal.
Wenn Sie einen dieser drei Frequenzbereich-Regler auf einen höheren Wert einstellen, wirkt sich das auch auf die beiden anderen Frequenzbereiche aus.
Wenn Sie alle drei Bänder auf „12 Uhr“ (Mittelposition) einstellen, ergibt sich ein völlig anderer Frequenzbereich, als wenn Sie sie alle auf „9 Uhr“ einstellen – und das gilt natürlich auch für jede andere abgeglichene Position.
Wie Sie sehen – eine sehr interaktive Sache. Ein guter Ausgangspunkt ist es, alle drei Frequenzbandregler auf „12 Uhr“ (Mittelposition) zu stellen und dann mit jedem einzelnen Regler zu experimentieren.
Mit dem Dreiband-Equalizer und dem Gain-Regler bieten sich Ihnen nahezu unbegrenzte Möglichkeiten zum Maßschneidern Ihres Sounds. Aber das echte „Betriebsgeheimnis“ des Zoar ist der Weight-Regler. Mit diesem Regler legen Sie fest, wie groß der Anteil des Tieftonbereichs ist, der in die EQ-Schaltung geleitet wird. Damit lässt sich der Klangcharakter dramatisch verändern. Stellen Sie einfach die Regler des Dreiband-Equalizers auf „12 Uhr“ (Mittelposition) ein und drehen Sie am WeightRegler, um ein Gefühl dafür zu bekommen, wie er den Klang beeinflusst. Von einem reinen Clean-Boost über eine HighGain-Verzerrung bis hin zu Overdrive und knackigem Hi-FiFuzz bietet Ihnen diese Funktion das volle Spektrum.
Der Level-Regler hat etwa bei „12 Uhr“ (Mittelposition) den Verstärkungsfaktor Eins (Unity Gain) – dies hängt jedoch von der Stellung der anderen Regler ab. Neben der Steuerung der Ausgangslautstärke spielt es auch eine gewisse Rolle bei der Steuerung der Klangcharakteristik des Zoar. Indem Sie den Level-Regler und die drei Frequenzbänder des Equalizers (Anheben der Frequenzbänder und Reduzieren der Ausgangslautstärke) kombinieren, können Sie dramatische Effekte erzielen, die an traditionelle Tiefpassfilter erinnern. 
Möchten Sie Ihrem Sound die sprichwörtlichen Flügel verleihen? Dann versuchen Sie, Zoar mit höherer Spannung zu betreiben! Zoar kann mit einer Spannung von bis zu 18 V Gleichstrom betrieben werden. Höhere Spannungen verändern den Frequenzgang; Dynamik und Ansprechzeit verbessern sich. Wenn Sie eine 18-Volt-Stromversorgung verwenden, klingen die cleanen Signalanteile offener, die Verzerrung wirkt druckvoller, während einzelne Noten artikulierter zu hören sind, der Treble-Regler deckt ein breiteres Spektrum ab, ohne rau zu klingen – und der Ausgangspegel ist beinahe doppelt so hoch! Das Resultat ähnelt durchaus dem Sound einer Wand aus kraftvollen Röhrenverstärkern!

Zoar™ is a highly interactive medium-high gain discrete distortion (using only transistors; no opamps or diodes in here!) that has that highly sought after touch sensitive amp-like quality. While having its roots in a very familiar past, the passive 3-band EQ has been finely tuned for modern tones. While this style of tone shaping seems simple on the surface, it is deceptively complex and highly interactive - yet surprisingly easy to instantly dial in dozens of mind blowing sounds.  
This meticulously crafted box has six knobs that allow you to truly customize your sound with the Level, Weight, Gain, Bass, Middle, and Treble controls. 
The Gain control on Zoar™ goes from the edge of break up all the way over the cliff into the crunchy, grinding abyss. The character of the distortion is heavily dependent on the setting of the Weight control as well as the pickup type and further fine-tuned by the EQ section.
The 3-Band EQ and Gain controls give you nearly unlimited options with great focus and sensitive precision, but the real powerhouse of Zoar™ is the Weight control. This control dictates the amount of low end that is passed into the circuit, thus controlling the entire character of the pedal. Simply dial in the 3-Band EQ to 12 o’clock and adjust the Weight to see how drastically it dictates your sound. From a mere clean boost to a high gain distortion to overdrive to the crispy Hi-Fi fuzz territory, this function gives you everything.
The Level control hits unity around noon, but this is dependent on where the other controls are set. In addition to controlling the output volume, it also plays a small part in controlling the voice of Zoar™. By adjusting the Level control with any combination of EQ (boosting the frequency bands and cutting the output volume), you can achieve drastically different curves that have the feel of the more traditional low pass filter type tone control.
Want to elevate your sonic spirit to a higher level? Try running Zoar™ at higher voltage! Zoar™ can handle power up to 18v DC. Higher voltages will yield a different frequency response with more defined dynamics and a faster response. When powered at 18v, the range of clean tones are widened, dirty tones become punchier with better note articulation, low frequencies are tightened, higher frequencies will cover a broader spectrum without becoming harsh and the output volume nearly doubles! The experience is not unlike plugging into a wall of high wattage tube amplifiers!

Es wurden die wichtigsten Merkmale und Eigenschaften des Plumes übernommen, aber die Schaltung mit dem doppelten Gain und einer tieferen Basswiedergabe modifiziert, um das gesamte Low End beizubehalten. Bei niedrigeren Gain-Einstellungen erhältst du den knackigen Ton, den du vom Original so liebst, aber sobald du den Gain-Regler über 12 Uhr stellst, hören die Ähnlichkeiten auf. 
Dieser rein analoge Tri-Mode-Overdrive mit Soft Clipping ist der Nachfolger des klassischen Screamer-Schaltkreises, hat aber eine ganz eigene Stimme. Und ähnlich wie das Plumes bietet dieses Pedal drei verschiedene Clipping-Optionen für die gewünschten Low-End-Face-Melting-Bedürfnisse.

The Blumes is an overdrive based on the Plumes circuit that is ideal for bass players and all purveyors of low-end. While embodying the key characteristics and features of the Plumes, they went ahead and modified this circuit with double the gain and a deeper bass response to retain all the low end. At lower gain settings, you’ll get all of the crunchy tone you love about the original, but once you get above noon on the Gain control, that’s where the similarities stop. 
This all-analog tri-mode overdrive with soft clipping carries the torch of the classic screamer circuit but has a voice all its own. And thanks to its +/- power supply it utilizes bipolar power, which gives you more dynamics, clarity, and all the headroom you could ever desire. The end result is a more three-dimensional tone with added clarity that really pushes a nice tube amp over the edge. 
And much like the Plumes, this pedal offers three different clipping options for your desired low end face melting needs.

Neptunium is, as its name implies, based on the Nobelium preamp, which is in turn based on the incredible Noble preamp. The key feature of Nobelium is the XLR D.I. output, which only uses one tube, so I was asked if it would be possible to squeeze just that part into a much smaller enclosure. The result is Neptunium.

Neptunium is a great-sounding, simple to use tube preamp with a D.I. output for going straight to front of house or a recording interface. It features a two-band tonestack based on the classic Fender/Marshall/Vox tonestack. Both controls are boost-only, so a “flat” response is achieved with both controls all the way off.

One way in which Neptunium differs from the Noble preamp is in volume controls; the volume control on the face affects the 1/4″ output, but rather than make the XLR output a fixed level, a separate volume control affecting the XLR output was added to the side of the pedal next to the XLR jack above the ground lift switch.

Neptunium

Greenhouse ist ein cleveres Pedal, das ich entwickelt habe, um eine einfache Aufgabe zu erfüllen – nämlich eine röhrengepufferte FX-Loop bereitzustellen –, aber ich habe festgestellt, dass es noch viel mehr kann. Ohne ein Effektgerät in der Schleife wirkt Greenhouse allein bereits als eine Art „Tone Sweetener“ oder Clean Boost mit Röhrensound. Ausgestattet mit einer 12AT7-Röhre, die mit hoher Spannung betrieben wird, kannst du deutlich über Unity Gain hinausgehen, um deinen Verstärker anzutreiben oder Greenhouse mit einem anderen Pedal zu kombinieren und ordentlich Dreck ins Signal zu bringen.

Ich wollte dieses Pedal ursprünglich hauptsächlich für Modulationseffekte verwenden – Geräte, deren Bedienung ich liebte, denen aber oft etwas Wärme fehlte. Greenhouse liefert diese Wärme im Überfluss. Eine weitere schöne Anwendung, die ich entdeckt habe, ist der Einsatz mit Overdrive- oder Distortion-Pedalen. Mit einem Zerrpedal im FX-Loop von Greenhouse kannst du die Lautstärke aufdrehen und die Greenhouse-Röhre in die Sättigung treiben, um das Maximum aus deinem Zerrsound herauszuholen. Anschließend kannst du die Lautstärke über den Greenhouse-Volume-Regler wieder auf ein praxisgerechtes Level herunterdrehen – ohne den Charakter des übersteuerten Sounds zu verlieren.

Greenhouse is a neat pedal that I designed to do a simple task, namely a tube-buffered FX loop, but I’ve found it can do a lot more than that. With nothing in the loop, Greenhouse by itself acts as a rich tube “tone sweetener” or clean boost. Equipped with a 12AT7 running at high voltage, you’re able to get well above unity gain to push your amplifier or stack with another pedal to push some dirt around.

I personally wanted this pedal mostly to use with modulation pedals, things that I loved the operation of but wanted more warmth from. And while Greenhouse delivers that in spades, another beautiful use I’ve found for it is with drive/distortion pedals. With a dirt pedal in Greenhouse’s FX loop you’re able to crank the volume and push Greenhouse’s tube into overdrive, getting the most out of your dirt pedal, then use Greenhouse’s volume control to dial the volume back to a usable level without losing any tone from your overdriven sound.

The Underground Accelerator is the successor to both Particle Accelerator and London Underground.

Neither were perfect, but both had strengths that the other didn’t so, Underground Accelerator takes the best of both into one glorious preamp. It follows the same general structure of the London Underground, letting it get a little more grit than Particle Accelerator, but still keeping the deep low end that London Underground lacked.

It sounds great as a clean boost or mild overdrive on guitar, but bass is where it really sings, providing the rich bottom end missing in so many bass pedals.

*The newest version of the Underground Accelerator has an EQ bypass switch. Note that the main purpose of the EQ Bypass is to boost the gain of the pedal, and bypassing the EQ will produce approximately +30dB more gain. Passive EQs like the one used in Underground Accelerator are inherently lossy, so the bypass was added for those that want more gain and don’t need the use of the EQ. If you simply want a flat response without the gain boost, you can set Treble and Bass to minimum and Mids to maximum.
