Der EarthQuaker Devices Special Cranker ist ein komplett analoges Overdrive Pedal, das speziell entwickelt wurde, um dem Signal einen satten Boost und eine schöne Verzerrung zu geben, ohne dass sich der Sound allzu drastisch verändert. Das Pedal erhält den natürlichen Klang und den Charakter des eigenen Equipments und arbeitet eher wie eine zusätzliche Vorverstärkerröhre, die für eine schöne Sättigung sorgt. Einzelne Noten werden mit einem singenden Sustain und harmonischen Obertönen perfekt betont. Powerchords klingen fetter und knackiger und komplexe Akkorde bleiben definiert und transparent, da der Special Cranker die Integrität des Sounds erhält ohne im Low-End oder in den unteren Mitten zu 'matschen'. Der Special Cranker hat den gleichen dynamischen Charakter wie der beliebte EarthQuaker Devices Speaker Cranker, bietet aber mehr Gain, die doppelter Ausgangslautstärke, einen zusätzlichen Tone-Regler zur Formung des Klangcharakters sowie einen Dioden-Wahlschalter, der zwischen den ursprünglichen asymmetrischen Silizium-Dioden und einer neuen Option mit Germanium-Dioden wählt. Die Gain-Range des More-Reglers reicht von fast clean bis zu einem Medium-Gain Overdrive, dabei haben die ausgewählten Clipping-Dioden direkten Einfluss auf den Charakter der Gain-Range: Die Germanium-Dioden liefern einen weicheren, gefälligeren Klang mit dezenteren Höhen und weniger Output. The EarthQuaker Devices Special Cranker is an all-discrete analog distortion enhancement device designed to give your signal some extra grit and boost without drastically altering your tone and retaining all of the natural nuances and character of your amp. Think of it as sticking an extra preamp tube in your amplifier for more saturation. Single notes will blossom and bloom with rich harmonics and singing sustain with responsive, tube-like sag. Power chords will sound thicker and crunchier, a little more ragged around the edges. Complex chords will remain distinct and complex, as the Special Cranker is designed to preserve your tone's integrity without muddying up the low-end or smearing the midrange. The Special Cranker has the same spongy, dynamic, and touch-sensitive character of the popular EarthQuaker Devices Speaker Cranker but with more gain, double the output volume, an added Tone control to shape your signal, and a diode selector switch featuring the original asymmetrical Silicon diodes as well as a hot, new Germanium diode option. The More control goes from nearly clean to a medium gain overdrive when at maximum. The gain characteristics are dependent on which diodes are chosen. When the Germanium diodes are selected, the Special Cranker delivers a softer, more rounded response with tamed highs and lower output, while the Silicon diodes add a brighter, more modern edge and higher output. Both are exceptionally responsive to playing dynamics and have excellent clarity. The Tone control gives the user full command over treble frequencies, cutting the highs when counterclockwise and adding a slight high frequency boost when turned clockwise. The Level control adjusts the output from nothing to nearly double at maximum.

Das EarthQuaker Devices Afterneath V3 klingt ein wenig so, wie es aussieht: Wie ein Sound-Zauberer, der eine riesige Höhle betritt und sich in die Ambient-Reverb-Schlacht wirft. Das Pedal bietet ein extrem breites Spektrum an unterschiedlichen, riesigen, ausladenden und magischen Ambient-Reverbs und deckt von wilden, verschlungenen Hall-Effekten über atmosphärische, kurze, digitale Delays bis zu Staccato-artigen, rhythmischen Wiederholungen mit bizarren Sounds alle denkbaren Effekte ab. Die Regelmöglichkeiten für Length (Länge des Nachhalls), Dampen (Tone), Reflect (Depth, Regeneration) und Mix (Wet/Dry-Mix) sind bekannte Parameter bei Reverb-Pedalen und arbeiten sehr intuitiv. Der Diffuse-Regler kontrolliert die Streuung des Nachhalls und ermöglicht je nach Setting aggressivere Sounds, bei denen das Einsetzen der einzelnen Wiederholungen deutlicher hörbar oder weicher und verwaschener wird. Der Drag-Regler trennt die digitalen Delay-Gruppen voneinander. So rücken den Repeats je nach Setting näher aneinander (Hall-ähnlicher Effekt) oder werden auseinander gezogen, sodass statt eines Halls verstreute Ping-Pong-Effekte zu hören sind.

The EarthQuaker Devices Afterneath V3 sounds a lot like it looks: a sound wizard bursting forth from ethereal cave and ready for the ambient reverb battle. The pedal offers an extremely wide range of different, vast, expansive, and magical ambient reverbs and covers all possible effects from wild and cavernous reverb effects to atmospheric reverberations of short digital delays to scattered, rhythmic delays with bizarre characteristics. The controls for Length (decay length of the reverb), Dampen (tone), Reflect (depth, regeneration) and Mix (wet/dry mix) are well-known parameters for reverb pedals and work very intuitively. The Diffuse knob adjusts the spread of the reverb, turned counterclockwise, the reverb is sharper with more attack, resulting in a stuttering sputter of individual early reflections. Clockwise casts a washy, more ambient-sounding effect. Drag separates the individual digital delay lines, clockwise positions will gather the delay lines close together for a more reverb-like effect. Turn the Drag counterclockwise, and the delay lines will begin to pull apart for a scattered ping-pong delay effect.

Oft kopiert aber nie erreicht, rangiert das schwer zu findende, originale, Phase 90 bei den Sammlern alter Bodentreter ganz weit oben. Das Original - seit der Gründung der Firma Dunlop bis in die späten 70er Jahre erhältlich – definierte den klassischen Phase Shifter Sound und war in allen Musikstilen zu hören, egal ob Hard Rock, Jazz-Fusion oder Funk-Hits. Der nach dem Kultpedal der Firma designte Phaser kommt puritanisch mit einem Regler aus, über den der Phaser-Speed einstellbar ist. Eine rote LED über dem stabilen Fußschalter zeigt den Schaltstatus an. Das massive Spritzgußgehäuse verfügt über jeweils 1/4" Klinke In- und Out-Eingänge. Betrieben wird der Kulttreter mit einer 9V Batterie, die in einem leicht zugänglichen Batteriefach auf der Unterseite Platz findet. Es ist erhältlich in der ursprünglichen orangenen Farbe.

Compression evens out volume differences by lowering loud sounds and raising quiet ones. The CS-3's Attack knob lets you set how quickly the circuit makes this adjustment. Turning it clockwise preserves string attacks more strongly and creates a crisper, more percussive sound. The more you turn the knob counterclockwise, the more the signal peaks are reduced. The sustain knob controls the strength of the compression and ensures a tight sound and natural sustain without distortion.
The CS-3 is based on a powerful VCA circuit that provides stable and consistent compression with minimal noise. With its characteristic balanced response and compression characteristics, the pedal delivers transparent sound across all playing styles. Dieser Effekt, der in den Achtzigern in einigen berühmten Gitarrenaufnahmen auftauchte, war damals für uns “normale” Musiker kaum erschwinglich. Aber diese Zeiten haben sich glücklicherweise geändert. Pitch-Effekte sind inzwischen im Effektangebot vieler Hersteller zu recht günstigen Kursen zu finden.

The EHX Pitch Fork transposes an instrument’s pitch over a +/- three octave range and features three modes which allow the pitch to be transposed up, down or both, simultaneously. The pitch shift amount can be set to a fixed interval or continuously varied by an expression pedal or control voltage.

Kontrolliere ein Volumen und FX-Parameter ohne dein Pedalboard mit einem weiteren großen Pedal noch voller zu packen. Platzsparen muss nicht heißen auf Funktionalität zu verzichten – das DVP Volume (X) Pedal macht alles das, was sein großer Bruder das DVP3 kann – bei halber Größe und genauso robust gebaut im leichten Alu-Gehäuse. Wie das DVP3 hat es auch die rutschfeste Pedaloberfläche und den patentierten Low-Friction-Band-Drive, der für einen sanften und gleichmäßigen Regelweg und zuverlässige Performance sorgt. Für maximalen Komfort ist die Leichtgängigkeit des Pedals vollkommen einstellbar.

Der AUX Ausgang vereint Tuner und Expression Funktion in einer Buchse, die per internem Schalter festgelegt werden kann. Über interne Trim-Potis kann das Minimum-Volumen des Pedals eingestellt werden und wenn du willst, kannst du auch die Funktionsrichtung umkehren – ein weiterer interner Schalter macht’s möglich.

For maximum comfort and precision, the DVP4’s rocker tension is fully adjustable. 

The AUX output combines tuner and expression functionality into one jack that can be toggled with a switch inside the pedal. When using the DVP4 as an expression pedal, you can use an internal pot to set the minimum level of the parameter you’re controlling with the rocker. If you want to reverse the function of the heel-down and toe-down positions, the DVP4 has another internal switch that allows you to do so.

A discovery born out of necessity, the Old Blood Noise Endeavors Split | Meld is a practical non-destructive way to manage parallel dual-mono and stereo signal paths and adds to the OBNE line of pedalboard friendly utility devices.

The 2024 updated design features a smaller even more pedalboard-friendly layout in a mini-sized enclosure and artwork created by the OKC art duo Holey Kids, one half of which also works at the brand’s Oklahoma headquarters, to perfectly fit in with the latest pedals in the OBNE’s Utility series.

Basierend auf dem unglaublichen Erfolg des originalen Ego, aber mit Schaltern für Ton (dunkel und hell) und Attack (langsam und schnell), kannst du deinen Ton auf den Standard eines doppelt so großen Pedals bringen. Durch die Beibehaltung der sauberen Mischung des Originals wird das Originalsignal eingemischt, so dass du alle Vorteile eines großartigen Kompressors nutzen kannst (Aufheben der weniger starken Noten und Erhöhung des Sustains), aber du hast die Möglichkeit, den Squash an der Front zu entfernen, indem du das umgangene Signal einfügst. Mit diesem Regler kannst du den vollen Country-Squash oder eine offene parallele Kompression auf Studioniveau nutzen. Mit dem Mini Ego hast du im Grunde die vollständige Kontrolle über jeden Aspekt deiner Kompression.

Based on the incredible success of the original Ego but featuring switches for tone (dark and bright) and attack (slow and fast) you can tweak your tone to a standard of a pedal twice its size. By keeping the clean blend of the original, your original signal to be blended in so you can get all the benefits of a great compressor (picking up the notes that aren’t as strong and increasing sustain) but you have the option to remove the squash at the front by bringing the bypassed signal in. With this control, you can have full country squash or open studio level parallel compression. Basically, the Mini Ego gives you complete control of every aspect of your compression.

BD-2 Blues Driver

The Cry Baby Daredevil Fuzz Wah fuses the sweet and expressive voice of a modded Cry Baby Wah with a gnarly custom fuzz circuit for a full palette of raw and aggressive tones. This pedal’s origin lies in Daredevil proprietor and builder Johnny Wator’s love for classic vintage circuits and the desire to create bold new sounds. Inspired by his personal wah-wielding guitar heroes, Johnny fine-tuned this circuit over several years, building them for friends and bandmates, before bringing it to Dunlop for consideration as a new addition to the lineup. The Cry Baby Daredevil Fuzz Wah is the resulting collaboration, and in true Daredevil fashion, it’s straight-forward and downright dirty. The only external control is a heavy-duty baseball bat switch to toggle the fuzz on and off. Removing the bottom plate reveals two more controls: one to set the pedal’s output when the fuzz is engaged and another to dial in your preferred level of fuzz nastiness. For instant lead tone, boost both the output and gain—in one step, you’re ready to rip. This fuzz wah is packed with killer old school tones and enough power to blow the whole dang room to pieces. It all comes in a special housing with a vintage crinkle finish base, a polished aluminum rocker top, and a custom design tread. Each one is hand built with thru-hole components and true bypass switching to round out this ode to full-frontal rock ’n’ roll.
