Der Wampler Mofetta Overdrive/Distortion ist meine Hommage an die MOSFET-gesteuerte Magie eines Klassikers der 1990er Jahre - des MT10 MOSTORTIONtm. Der Mofetta, eine Hauptstütze unzähliger Top-Session-Spieler, ehrt die Seele dieses schwer fassbaren und doch klassischen Schaltkreises, während er sein ungenutztes Potenzial offenbart.

Stell dir den Mofetta als einen aufgeladenen MOSTORTIONtm vor, wiedergeboren und verstärkt. Ich habe dafür gesorgt, dass er den klassischen, verstärkerähnlichen Overdrive, massiven Headroom und den vielseitigen 3-Band-EQ bietet, der das Original so berühmt gemacht hat. Aber ich wollte noch mehr und habe einen Texture-Schalter hinzugefügt, der echte MOSFETs in die Overdrive-Sektion des Pedals einfügt und so einen fetteren, artikulierteren Ton erzeugt. Das Mofetta bewahrt alles, was du an der Legende aus den frühen 90ern liebst, mit einer kraftvollen neuen Dimension.

The Wampler Mofetta Overdrive/Distortion is my tribute to the MOSFET-driven magic of a 1990s classic — the MT10 MOSTORTIONtm. A mainstay of countless top session players, the Mofetta honors the soul of that elusive yet classic circuit while revealing its untapped potential.

Think of the Mofetta as a supercharged MOSTORTIONtm, reborn and amplified. I made sure that it delivered the classic, amp-like overdrive, massive headroom, and versatile 3-band EQ that made the original so famous. But I also wanted more and added a Texture Switch that introduces actual MOSFETs into the pedal's overdrive section for a bolder, more articulate tone. The Mofetta preserves everything you love about the early '90s legend with a powerful new dimension.

Der Dreiband-EQ bietet die Möglichkeit, den gewünschten Ton zu modellieren, ohne dass ein magisches Vintage-Mojo erforderlich ist. Mit dem Voicing-Schalter kann man von klassischer, straffer Wiedergabe bis hin zu dunklem, schlammigem und zappelndem Sound mit einer Tiefe, die an glühend heißes Magma erinnert, das unter der Oberfläche brodelt, alles einstellen.

Das Fuzztration ist kein Pedal, das wirklich „nett“ spielen soll. Es ist ein frecher, rauer, düsterer Fuzz, der von oben bis unten alles mitmacht. Das soll nicht heißen, dass es keine klassischen Floyd-Sounds erzeugen kann, aber es ist nicht einfach nur ein weiterer Klassiker mit ein paar zusätzlichen EQ-Optionen. Es ist rau, es ist schroff, und es ist wie ein wütender Löwe, der versucht, aus seinem Käfig auszubrechen. Wenn die Suche nach dem perfekten Fuzz zu einer Unmenge an Auswahlmöglichkeiten führt, ist das Ende der Fuzztration erreicht, wenn alles in eine einzige Fuzz-Box gepackt wird, die alles kann. Du willst die klassischen Sounds? Erledigt. Wie wäre es mit knallhartem Doom Metal oder Sludge Rock? Ja, auch das ist möglich.

The three-band EQ gives full sculpting capability to dial in whatever tone you want without needing magic vintage mojo. The voicing switch can take it from classic, tight response to dark, sludgy and writhing with a depth to it like piping hot magma bubbling just below the surface.

The Fuzztration isn't a pedal designed to really play "nice." It's brash, raspy, doomy, in-your-face fuzz from top to bottom. This is not to say it can't get some classic Floyd sounds, but this isn't just another classic with some added EQ options. It's rough, it's gruff, and it's like an angry lion trying to bust out of its cage. When the search for the perfect fuzz leads to a plethora of choices, the end of your Fuzztration comes when everything is packed into one, do-it-all fuzz box. Want the classic sounds? Done. How about some raunchy doom metal or sludge rock? Yep, it does that too
