Wie oft hast du schon vor deinem Lieblings-Ambient-Pedal gesessen und das Gefühl gehabt, dass du wochenlanges Training bei der NASA brauchst, um es zu benutzen? Knöpfe, Schalter, Schieberegler... Als wir zum ersten Mal über ein Ambient-Pedal nachdachten, hatte die Benutzerfreundlichkeit oberste Priorität, gleichrangig mit einem erstklassigen Klang, der sich mit Pedalen zu einem doppelt so hohen Preis messen kann.

Wie würdest Du ein Pedal wie das Wampler Ethereal beschreiben? Trifft „Ambient Heaven“ zu? Ist es das Tor zwischen dem realen Leben und der Astralebene? Oder ist es einfach nur wunderschön? Es ist schwer zu sagen, welchen Ausdruck man verwenden soll, wenn man über das Pedal spricht, denn sie alle passen perfekt... und natürlich ist es so einfach zu bedienen, dass man sofort die perfekten Ethereal-Sounds erhält.

How many times have you sat in front of your favorite ambient pedal and felt like you need weeks of training at NASA to use it? Knobs, switches, sliders…It’s often SO hard and frustrating to find a usable tone on those things quickly... Keeping that firmly in mind, when we first considered making an ambient pedal, ease of use was a top priority, right up there with top tier quality tone on par with pedals at twice the price.

How do you describe a pedal like the Wampler Ethereal? Does ambient heaven cover it? Is it the gateway between real life and the astral plane? Or is it just gorgeous? It’s hard to know which phrase to use when talking about it, because they all match it perfectly… plus, of course, so easy to use you’ll be getting those perfectly Ethereal tones instantly.

When we released our original Compressor back in 2011, it quickly became a favourite among guitar and bass players alike who were searching for something more than the typical oversimplified controls found on most compressor pedals. Although our original Compressor sounded great on bass (and still does!) we set out to do even better. 
On top of the full range of features and controls normally only seen in high end studio equipment, such as input and gain reduction metering, independent attack and release controls, a mix knob for parallel compression, and an external sidechain insert, we’ve now added a fully variable sidechain high pass filter, and a two position ‘tone + colour’ circuit which adds gentle tone sculpting and harmonic distortion, giving your bass some delicious character.

Der Mofetta, eine Hauptstütze unzähliger Top-Session-Spieler, ehrt die Seele dieses schwer fassbaren und doch klassischen Schaltkreises, während er sein ungenutztes Potenzial offenbart.

Stell dir den Mofetta als einen aufgeladenen MOSTORTIONtm vor, wiedergeboren und verstärkt. Ich habe dafür gesorgt, dass er den klassischen, verstärkerähnlichen Overdrive, massiven Headroom und den vielseitigen 3-Band-EQ bietet, der das Original so berühmt gemacht hat. Think of the Mofetta as a supercharged MOSTORTIONtm, reborn and amplified. I made sure that it delivered the classic, amp-like overdrive, massive headroom, and versatile 3-band EQ that made the original so famous.
