Recently, I've started alternating between my main instrument, the bass, and Electric and Acoustic guitar. However, the equipment I currently have doesn't meet all the needs of the church's repertoire. At the church, we play directly into the PA system, and to begin with, I don't have an amp simulator. So I put together this setup with cost-effectiveness in mind, utilizing the pedals I already have, and for the pedals I don't have yet, prioritizing Brazilian-made options and pedals that I can afford with the money from selling some of the pedals I already own. Since I enjoy discussing setups, I'll leave the link to the Reddit post, as this is quite a nerdy conversation hahahaha.

The OCD was the first pedal to use Mosfets as clipping devices. Another first was their configuration as "hard clippers connected to v-ref" instead of to ground, as was the norm. These things contribute greatly as to why the OCD has such touch-sensitivity...why they react so well when the strings are hit hard or soft, and why they sound & feel different than all other pedals out there, 90% of which are just slight tweaks of the Tube Screamer.

Andy Timmons' mysterious sounding 'Halo' effect is a modulated dual echo sound that has long been kept a secret by the tone wizard himself and he spent decades combining and crafting the sounds you can get from the Keeley Halo effects pedal. Notes from the Halo dance rhythmically, almost creating a reverb diffusion. Those notes are held together with tape-style effects like modulation, saturation, and compression. The pedal comes loaded with Andy Timmons' signature delay tone and you can program your own sounds and save them as presets. Easily bounce between Side A and B on the fly, essentially giving you two delay pedals in one. In addition to Andy's signature 'Halo' sound, there are numerous other rhythmic delays including: quarter note, dotted 8th, stereo rack mount analog delay, and a vintage multi-head tape echo.
