Description
The Octavia Stompbox from Voodoo Lab is a fuzz pedal that produces an octave doubling effect (one octave higher than the original signal). This octave-up sound was made famous by Jimi Hendrix and Jeff Beck, among others.
The Voodoo Lab Proctavia is an exact copy of the Tycobrahe Octavia, which was also used by Stevie Ray Vaughan and is considered one of the most sought-after vintage guitar effects in collectors' circles. For the Proctavia, Voodoo Lab uses the same transistors, germanium diodes and transformer-coupled output stage of the original circuit. This creates the extraordinary distortion with the octave effect as known from the milestones ‘Are you Experienced’ and ‘Wired’.Media
