Description

The Tone Secret from Vertex is the answer to the love-hate relationship countless guitarists have with a particularly screaming green overdrive pedal that originated in Japan in the late 1970s. The Tone Secret recreates the tonal DNA of the Green Screamer's most famous users, heard on countless studio recordings and live performances, without requiring a fully maxed out amp guy to engage the pedal. It uses only 50% of the gain of a conventional green OD pedal. With the addition of Pre-Overdrive and Post-Overdrive controls, you can match the OD characteristics to any amp and simulate amp distortion without pushing the “DRIVE” button on your pedal. Additionally, we've added individual controls for treble and mid frequencies, as well as our GRIT control to adjust the relationship between the amp and the overdrive produced by the Tone Secret.If you're looking for a good overdrive pedal that will reproduce the classic and contemporary sounds of your favorite records, look no further than the Tone Secret.
