The Vemuram Jan Ray is a boutique analog overdrive pedal designed to reproduce the punchy, clear tones of 1960s Blackface Fender amps, often described as the “Fender Magic 6” sound. It delivers natural overdrive with great sustain and minimal compression, preserving the guitar’s character while enhancing dynamic response. The pedal features simple, intuitive controls including Volume, Gain, Bass, Treble and a Saturation trimmer, along with true bypass switching for unaltered tone when off. Handcrafted in Japan with high-quality components and a robust enclosure, the Jan Ray is suitable for both transparent drive and amp-like breakup tones.
