V846 Vintage Wah

WAH
Description
Introduced by VOX in 1967, the wah-wah pedal evolved from the mid-range boost function of a VOX amplifier and was initially marketed as a way to emulate the sound of a muted trumpet. However, it was soon reworked for rock guitarists and re-released as the V846 to keep pace with its unintended but music-changing use on electric guitars by famous artists such as Jimi Hendrix and Eric Clapton. From the 1960s to today, the wah pedal has become an indispensable tool for guitarists.
The new V846 Vintage Wah pedal perfectly replicates this second wah model down to the component level. VOX engineers have worked hard to unlock the secrets of the Vintage V846 wah model, and the result is a pedal that meticulously recreates its exact tonal characteristics.
The V846 Vintage has an assertive sound profile with an extended frequency response and a strong emphasis on high frequencies - perfect for combining with fuzz for classic rock sounds.Media
