Description

The Twilight Pulse Audioworks Proxima is a MOSFET overdrive and fuzz effects pedal that combines dynamic low-gain breakup with full-range sustained distortion. Built using hand-wired through-hole components, it features an obsolete NOS Harris/Intersil CA3260E BiMos operational amplifier paired with a pair of NOS RFT silicon diodes for its clipping stage. The external control interface provides parameters to dial in saturation textures ranging from raw, fat overdrive to heavy fuzz. The circuit is optimized to retain clarity and touch-sensitivity across both guitar and bass signals. Top-mounted jacks and true bypass switching facilitate integration into modern pedalboard layouts.
