Over the years the Morning Glory is undoubtedly JHS’ most known and praised overdrive pedal. It was created in 2009 out of a need for an overdrive pedal that simply took a guitar and amplifier’s tone to the next level without adding strong mid frequencies or any other characteristic that came along with the Tubescreamer style circuits on the market. Its goal was, and still is, to be incredibly easy to use and to be the most transparent overdrive out there. Whether you play a Stratocaster or a Les Paul, you will instantly recognize how the Morning Glory is touch sensitive and keeps 100% of your instrument’s feel in place.

Der Twin Mountain Overdrive ist ein „B-Breaker“-basierter Overdrive mit vielen Verbesserungen, wie z.B. einer verstärkerähnlichen Anschlagsdynamik, einem größeren Dynamikbereich, mehr Headroom und mehr Klarheit. Lässt sich hervorragend mit allem kombinieren oder als eigenständiger Overdrive einsetzen.

Wir haben auch die Funktion in 3 Kompressionsmodi erweitert: SMOOTH, GLASS, THICK, um eine größere Vielfalt an klanglichen Optionen zu bieten (Clean Boost, sanfter Overdrive, bis hin zu brüllendem Medium Gain Overdrive).

Twin Mountain Overdrive is a "B-breaker" based type of Overdrive with lots of improvements, such as more amp-like touch sensitivity, dynamic range, headroom, & clarity. Stacks great with everything, or as a stand alone overdrive.

We also expand the feature into 3 modes of compression; SMOOTH, GLASS, THICK, to give more variety of tonal options (clean boost, smooth overdrive, to roaring medium gain overdrve).

Die vierte Generation seiner Pedale geht dabei in Sachen Verarbeitung und Design einen großen Schritt nach vorne, ohne jedoch den Preis aus den Augen zu lassen.

Chinese builder Joyo has been making pedals for a very long time but their super-affordable devices were somewhat frowned upon by stompbox connoisseurs, until Mr. JHS posted, in May 2020, this video declaring their 2018 Revolution Series “the perfect budget pedals.”
Atmosphere Reverb is – as far as we can tell – the most affordable multi-mode reverb with more than 3 algorithms (it has 9). Three traditional modes (Spring, Church and Plate) are followed by 6 super-creative ones, with names as abstract as Comet, Forest, Pulse and Rewind.

Beim DSM & Humboldt Simplifier DLX handelt es sich um eine extrem erweiterte Version des kleinen Simplifiers, der hier bereits Gegenstand eines Tests war. Eine der Besonderheiten an den Geräten der Simplifier-Reihe, die auch gerne Zero Watt Amplifier genannt werden, ist die Zielgruppe, die der chilenische Hersteller ins Auge gefasst hat. Es sind Gitarristen, die mit kleinem Gepäck zum Gig kommen, auf analoge Signalwege setzen und für die deshalb digitale Modeler bzw. Cabinet-Simulationen keine Option sind.

Pedalboard amps seem to be all the rage lately. And I have to admit that I've become increasingly more amicable to getting big tones with less gear. The DSM & Humboldt Simplifier DLX, which delivers a lot of big tones in a single suited-for-pedalboard sized stomp, is the latest iteration of the company's "zero-watt" amp series and features plenty of bells and whistles for the stereo set.
