Was ist daran so besonders?

Die meisten E-Gitarren sind mit passiven Tonabnehmern ausgestattet und haben eine entsprechend hohe Ausgangsimpedanz. Bei Verwendung eines Gitarrenkabels von 6m oder länger geht im Höhenbereich je länger je mehr vom Gitarren-Sound verloren. Ein Puffer kompensiert diese Signalbeeinträchtigung und somit den Sound-Verlust für lange Kabel – selbst, wenn die Stimmfunktion aus ist.

Der ULTRA-BUFFER verbessert die Klangqualität im Bypass-Betrieb und erhält bei Verwendung eines langen Kabels somit den Sound, ganz gleich, ob es direkt mit dem Tuner oder zunächst mit einem komplexen Effekt-Board verbunden ist.

Der Pitchblack XS erlaubt Wechsel zwischen dem True Bypass- und dem Ultra Buffer-Modus, um in jeder Lebenslage den optimalen Sound zu erzielen.

The Pitchblack XS not only features a true bypass for outputting the sound exactly as it was input, but now includes a built-in ULTRA BUFFER.

Why is this important?

The majority of electric guitars use passive pickups with a high impedance output. When you are using a cable there is a loss of tone, usually high frequencies, after about 6 m (around 18 feet) and this problem gets worse the longer your cable. A buffer boosts the signal over long cables to avoid loss of tone, keeping it clean and clear - even when your pedal is off.

The ULTRA BUFFER enhances the sound quality in bypass mode, so that you can still maintain audio quality even when using a long cable to connect to the tuner, or when inserting the tuner into a complex effects board.

On the Pitchblack XS, you can switch between true bypass and the ULTRA BUFFER, according to your tastes and environment.

Darüber hinaus bietet das integrierte Fuzz nicht nur eine 2-Band Klangregelung für Bässe und Höhen, sondern auch zwei Voices. Während das erste Voicing einen warmen, sanft komprimierenden Sound liefert, überzeugt das zweite mit seiner helleren und aggressiveren Klangentfaltung. Damit der natürliche Charakter des verwendeten Basses und die Definition des Tons nicht verloren gehen, kann außerdem das trockene Signal stufenlos hinzugemischt werden, wobei der separate Mittenregler bei Bedarf für einen gesteigerten Punch sorgt.

The MXR M287 Sub Octave Bass Fuzz is a true colossus among bass effect units and impresses with a bloodcurdling sound that makes the walls tremble. The octaver, whose circuit is based on the growl section of the popular MCR Bass Octave Deluxe, adds an octave below the played tone for a powerful low-end punch. In addition, the integrated fuzz not only offers a 2-band tone control for bass and treble, but also two voices. While the first voicing delivers a warm, gently compressive sound, the second is convincing with its brighter and more aggressive sound development. To ensure that the natural character of the bass used and the definition of the tone are not lost, the dry signal can also be mixed in continuously, with the separate mid-range control providing an increased punch if required.

Die Kernschaltung des EHX Bass Clone Chorus Pedals ist nahezu identisch mit der des legendären Small Clone Chorus, aber mit zusätzlichen Funktionen speziell für Bass. Chorus ist eine Kombination aus modulierten und trockenen Signalen. Der Crossover-Schalter des Bass Clone schneidet die tiefen Frequenzen des modulierten Signals ab, so dass das Pedal ein präziseres, artikuliertes Basssignal mit exzellenter Tondefinition liefert. Der Treble-Regler beeinflusst das gesamte Signal, während der Bass-Regler nur die trockene Hälfte beeinflusst. Zusammen mit dem Crossover-Schalter sorgen sie für eine präzise Klangformung, mit der Sie einen straffen, fokussierten Bassgitarren-Sound mit gut definierten Bässen und einem schimmernden Chorus erzielen können.


The EHX Bass Clone Chorus pedal’s core circuitry is nearly identical to the legendary Small Clone chorus, but with added features especially for bass. Chorus is a combination of modulated and dry signals. The Bass Clone’s Crossover switch cuts low end from the modulated signal so the pedal delivers a more accurately articulated bottom end with excellent note definition. The Treble control affects the whole signal while the Bass control only affects the dry half. Together with the Crossover switch they provide precise sound shaping that lets you achieve a tight, focused bass guitar sound with a well-defined low end and shimmering chorus on top.

Whether you’re a MIDI-meister or amongst the MIDI-mindless, the MIDI Moose is a super simple, stage-friendly alternative to access 128 patches. Tech 21’s intuitive engineering eliminates the intimidation of trying to decipher an encyclopedia-sized manual just so you can change a darn program. Like its MIDI Mouse cousin, the MIDI Moose is also battery operable and provides a minimum of 200 hours usage. Its sophisticated battery-saving feature turns off the numerical display after 5 seconds. What if you forget where you were? Just hit the footswitch of the individual patch LED that has remained lit, and it will wake up the display without making any program changes.

Housed in a sleek aluminum chassis,there are Up and Down footswitches to select groupings of five preset programs. Individual silent-switching, custom actuators instantly engage each program change directly within the selected grouping.

Midi Moose

Frank Bello ist dafür bekannt, dass er Anthrax seinen eigenen Stil und seine energiegeladene Leidenschaft einbringt. Er schafft es irgendwie, komplexe melodische Riffs, die in diesem Genre normalerweise nicht vorkommen, mit schwindelerregender Geschwindigkeit und Genauigkeit zu verschmelzen – und das alles, während er headbangt, auf der Bühne herumtollt und ans Mikrofon stürmt, um Harmonien zu singen.

Zusätzlich zu den spezifischen Tönen, die Frank wollte, lag die Hauptpriorität darin, den Street Driver 48 einfach zu bedienen. Er wollte keine Unmengen von Knöpfen, Schaltern oder unnötigen Schnickschnack. Er wollte, dass Spieler direkt nach dem Auspacken einen großartigen Sound bekommen, egal ob es sich um Metal, R&B oder Prog-Rock handelt, ob Anfänger oder Experte, ob jung oder schon fortgeschritten. 

Frank Bello is known for bringing his own distinct style and energetic passion to Anthrax. He somehow manages to merge complex melodic riffs, not typically associated within that genre, with dizzying speed and accuracy —all while headbanging, romping around the stage, and dashing up to the mic to sing harmonies.

In addition to the specific tones Frank wanted, a major priority was to make the Street Driver 48 simple to operate. He didn’t want a zillion knobs, switches, or gratuitous bells & whistles. He wanted players to be able to get a great sound right out of the box, whether it’s for metal or R&B or prog rock, whether novice or expert, whether young or advanced in years.

SansAmp Bass Driver DI

A super-compact adaptation of his Tech 21 Ultra Bass 1000 Signature head, the DP-3X also recreates the sound dUg originally developed way back in the ‘80s, merging high-end distortion with low-end bass. Prior to his signature head, this involved running a guitar amp and a bass amp together, along with rack full of effects. Wanting to further streamline his gear for occasions when his full Tech 21 rig simply isn’t practical, dUg collaborated on the all-analog DP-3X pedal. Personally beta-testing the DP-3X on a European tour, dUg encountered a different backline in each and every venue. But no matter which amp was on stage, dUg was able to nail his immense tone each and every night.

In addition to achieving dUg’s unique tone, the DP-3X has the flexibility to provide traditional bass amp sounds as well. Mix mode engages Drive to bring in distortion and Chunk for upper harmonics. A Gain button provides additional distortion and compression. In clean/full-range mode, Drive and Chunk disengage, while Comp and Gain remain active. Other controls include 3-band active EQ with switchable Mid and a master Volume. Features include chromatic tuner, headphone capability, and an XLR Output to go direct to the PA desk or studio board without compromising detail, warmth or responsiveness.
