DOD macht seit 1973 Pedale, die sich mittlerweile (und teilweise) großer Beliebtheit erfreuen. Dann wurde die Firma 2008 geschlossen, um 2013 wieder mit einem teils neuen, teils alten Produktsortiment wieder einzusteigen. Mit den Mini Expression und Mini Volume hat DOD zwei bisher nicht gesehene Pedale vorgestellt, die das gewisse Extra mitbringen.

Pedalboard 18 pedals, MIDI controlled, either Tonex pedal amps or a real amp (typically Boogie Fillmore) preamp, chain ending in the Return Fx loop in two amps giving stereo. 

Chain: Sentry 4 cable method to (Clyde wah, Atlas, KingTone Fuzz, OCD (output buffer always on), Antique, Tonex One (for OD/Dist/Fuzz pedals), Gladio, Tonex Pedal for various amps without cab), from Sentry output to One Control MIDI dual loop, the loop(s) goes to one or two preamps input and from the Fx loop send back to the Return of the loop, from the OneControl outpput to the Volume pedal, Spark, Astra, Plethora, loop out of Plethora to Halo, back to Plethora slot for Delay/Reverb, Golden Reverbator, Ditto and finally connect the Return in the Fx loop of the two amps. 

Two 1Spot Truetone (CS12 and XP8) feeds the pedals. 

I haven't added the Morningstar yet, and uses a non midi OneControl for manual control of the loop so far. If/when getting the Morningstar I will control the Tonex pedal, Plethora, OneControl MIDI loop, Atlas and Halo to start with, also using the expression pedal feature to the Volume pedal. Then I hope UA will add MIDI over USB some day in the future, hopefully...  

Dreaming a bit, Morningstar would start producing an MC6 Pro combined with a loop controller of 3-4 loops.

I wish Rockboard would increase the height of the board just a few cm to adjust to modern bigger digital units, on the thinnest part not to increase the weight too much, e.g the 4.4. to be  722x350 mm.  Or even making another oversized series, this one as 750x350... :-) I use EBS cables to optimize space.

I also with Rockboard to add inlays to the bags and cases, to put in the bottom of the bag below the pedals, so that it would be possible to put down the bag on the ground while carrying it, without the bottom pedals (the Morningstar, Tonex One, Spark etc) to loosen if the stick out from the board .

With the One Control MIDI Dual Stereo Loop (MDSL) of the Minimal Series, One Control offers the player a simple MIDI loop functionality, perfectly suited for small pedalboards as well as for large effects systems. Mono and stereo signals can be processed variably. For example, it is possible to convert mono signals into stereo signals (dual-mono operation) and send them to stereo effects. The One Control MIDI dual stereo loop can use between 1-8 MIDI channels to receive control signals and switch the two effect loops on and off via MIDI PC or CC.

Andy Timmons' mysterious sounding 'Halo' effect is a modulated dual echo sound that has long been kept a secret by the tone wizard himself and he spent decades combining and crafting the sounds you can get from the Keeley Halo effects pedal. Notes from the Halo dance rhythmically, almost creating a reverb diffusion. Those notes are held together with tape-style effects like modulation, saturation, and compression. The Duellist features top mounted jacks, 9-18v DC, you can run it at 12 or 18v for more headroom. You can change the channel order A into B or B into A with a simple flick of the switch. Side mounted dip switch allows easy access to powerful tonal options. The new options include an amp-like setting, this gives you an open, tube-amp style tone. The SRV Mod adds attack and dynamics to the classic TS style tones, you’ll probably want to leave this option on once you’ve heard it.. With the Duellist you can also split channel A and B so you can use it with a pedalboard switcher. In ‘Split’ mode, using TRS cables the Duellist functions as two separate pedals with an in and out for each side, this allows you to place the two sides of the Duellist in “different places” on your pedalboard, e.g. you can put other pedals in-between the two sides.

The miniFUZZ has a plethora of controls  which allow you to dial in authentic vintage silicon or germanium  tones and much more! The side Dip-Switch gives fast and easy access to the amazing new tonal options.  We have added a switchable  buffer to the miniFuzz. If you chose to engage the buffer you will be able to drive long cables and complex pedal setups with no loss of tone or change of tone when engaging  the miniFUZZ. We have added a four setting tone control for tweaking the texture of the fuzz. Leave it off for bright gritty tones or select one of the options for a smoother, silkier tone.  We still have controls for boosting the output or lifting the bass response. Most fuzz pedals can sound poor when using an external DC power-supply but the  miniFUZZ’s built in battery simulator makes sure all DC plug in power sounds as good and as quiet as a battery.

Der One Control Minimal Series Black Loop ist ein Dual-Loop True Bypass Switcher mit zwei zusätzlichen DC Hohlstecker-Ausgängen. Das Pedal lässt sich je nach Setup als A+B Switch, Bypass Looper oder Tuner Output / Mute Switch verwenden. Der Black Loop bietet eine Vielzahl an Funktionen und praktisch unbegrenzte Anwendungsmöglichkeiten. Natürlich ist der Looper ein großartiges Tool um alte Vintage Effekte oder Pedale ohne True Bypass aus dem Signalweg zu nehmen, wenn sie nicht gespielt werden. Zusätzlich lässt sich das Pedal als AB Box nutzen. Man verbindet einfach einen Verstärker mit dem Output und einen zweiten Verstärker mit dem Send 2 - tritt man dann auf den Loop 2 Fußschalter wechselt die Signalführung zwischen Send 2 und dem Output. Dieses Feature lässt sich auch nutzen um den Black Loop als Tuner Output / Mute Switch zu verwenden, wenn das Stimmgerät mit einem der beiden Send-Ausgänge verbunden wird. 
Der Black Loop ist mit der legendären BJF Buffer-Schaltung ausgestattet, die ein- und ausgeschaltet werden kann. Der BJF Buffer wurde von Björn Juhl, einem der größten Verstärker- und Effektdesigner der Welt, auf Wunsch vieler der weltbesten Gitarristen entwickelt und ist die Antwort auf die Frage, wie man seinen Ton in allen Arten von Signalketten, von der Bühne bis zum Studio, unverfälscht erhalten kann. Je mehr Effekte später angeschlossen werden, desto wichtiger ist ein Buffer. Dies ist die Funktion des BJF-Buffers, der in den Eingang integriert ist. Wenn Sie den BJF Buffer einschalten, können Sie den Gesamtklang stabilisieren und einen warmen und natürlichen Sound mit weniger Signalverlusten und -verschlechterungen erzielen.

The One Control Minimal Series Black Loop is a two-loop true bypass switcher with two DC barrel outlets. It can be used as an A+B switch, bypass loopers or tuner output / mute switch. The Black Loop has several functions and offers endless possibilities. The Black Loop is a great tool to bypass vintage effects or pedals without true bypass while they are not in use to get them out of the signal chain. In addition to being a true bypass looper, the Black Loop can be used as an AB Box. Simply connect one amp to the Output and the other amp to Send 2. Stepping on the Loop 2 switch will toggle between Send 2 and the Output. You can use the same feature as a tuner output / mute switch if you connect your tuner to one of the Send outputs.

The OCD pedal is the only pedal that uses 2 x Mosfets configured as hard-clipping to 'Voltage reference" instead of the usual way: to ground." The earliest OCDs used 2 x Mosfets plus 1 x Germanium diode, but very quickly these diodes became harder and harder to find, and they became expensive.

Recently I stumbled across a reasonably large stash of the right kind of Germanium diodes so I ponied-up and bought all of them. So I decided to do a run of the ultimate OCD: a Custom Shop offering with a few circuit tweaks using 2 x Mosfets plus 2 x Germanium diodes, and one hell of a beautiful paint job... Metallic Teal with a chrome undercoat! This beauty morphs between blues and greens depending on the light and angle. And what would the ultimate OCD be without a Blue LED? The sound? Great definition, more tube-like feel, a bit wider dynamic range, more sustain, and a more focused single-note tone. And as with all Fulltone pedals... 100% Built in the USA.
