Many users of the original Liquid Sunshine described it as “tweedy” or “voxy.” While the mkIII sounds similar it is not meant to be an “amp in a can” device. It’s inspired by the idea that an overdrive should “play nice” with your tone. It works with the gear you already use. It won’t make your amplifier sound like something it’s not. It simply adds a little magic.

The Liquid Sunshine mkIII is well suited for use with a clean amplifier, or pushing a cranked amp. This is especially important for playing at different volume levels. It feels equally at home on stage, at rehearsal or simply practicing at home.

Liquid Sunshine MkIII

For our first foray in to DSP we put our white lab coats on, we listened to a lot of reverb, and then we listened some more. We tore apart reverb tanks to see what makes them unique to create something truly special.

The Spring Theory is designed specifically for guitar. You won’t hear a supposed spring reverb simulation that just doesn’t cut it, or so-called “studio” reverb designed for vocals or drums simply ported to a pedal format as an afterthought. Simply put it’s the most accurate black face spring reverb pedal in existence.

Spring Theory

From huge jet plane sweeps to swirly pitch vibrato the Starlight does everything a flanger should and more. This all analog bucket brigade based (MN3209) flanger adds the flexibility of digital control. There’s classic triangle shape modulation and wobbling sine wave for a super deep throb. We’ve also gone beyond the norm and included some of our favorite LFO’s from the Quasar DLX. Triangle/Square mix, Random Sample/hold and Step Triangle. There’s also a manual setting allowing you to use the speed knob to manually control the flanger.

Take a trip back in time to the underappreciated 12bit era of synthesis. A time of experiments built for mass appeal. Finally, synthesizers were available to the everyday musician. One new idea was phase distortion synthesis.  Casio sold it as the answer to Yamaha’s FM synthesis. Ultimately, Casio discontinued the CZ phase distortion synthesizers, but these synthesizers garnered a cult following for their versatility and relative affordability.

The PixelWave covers a wide range of synthesizer sounds. From string ensembles to filter sweeps and resonant noise. Oscillators can be offset over four octaves by half-step increments and fine-tuning. Use this to create massive 80s unison leads or modern one key dance chords.
