Ich freue mich, das Wampler Ego 76 Kompressor-Pedal vorstellen zu können, meine persönliche Hommage an den legendären 1176 Peak Limiter, der über Jahrzehnte hinweg die Musikwelt geprägt hat. Dieses Pedal ist nicht nur ein Gerät, es ist eine Reise in die Seele zeitloser Studio-Sounds, und ich freue mich, seine Geschichte zu erzählen.

Der Ego 76 geht über die konventionelle Rolle eines Pedalkompressors hinaus, indem er das Signal nicht nur quetscht, sondern es tatsächlich bereichert und aufwertet. Dank der FET-Technologie (Feldeffekttransistor) habe ich dem Pedal studioähnliche Attack- und Release-Regler, einen parallelen Clean-Blend-Regler und einen sorgfältig abgestimmten Tone-Regler spendiert. Eons is a five-state fuzz capable of massively thick sounds ready to test the limits of any amp's grill cloth. Use the Voltage (lightning bolt) knob to crank up to 18 volts into the pedal's circuit for massive, open fuzz sounds, or choose to starve it down to 3 volts for spatty, gated fuzz.

Like the Iguana that’s malleable to its environment, blending into its surroundings for harmonious balance or standing out with vibrant confidence, the Polychrome Flanger is a uniquely colorful tool for adding modulated textures to songs.   

The Polychrome is a true bypass, analog Flanger pulling in familiar layout controls from the Julia and Lillian. Dial in a wealth of colorful flange with the D-F-V (Dry, Flange, Vibrato) blend knob and the shape and voice switches.

The Shape Switch lets you select from sine, triangle, or random LFO wave to modulate the delay line.

The Voice Switch lets you select between two voices for the flanging effect. In the down position, the flanger is more traditional and full frequency. In the up position, you get a more complex and notched flange effect with less low end.

Like the other members of the Walrus Audio modulation family, the Polychrome has a blend knob. The D-F-V (Dry, Flange, Vibrato) knob lets you blend the dry and delayed signal from full dry at minimum (no effect), to traditional flange at noon to full pitch vibrato at maximum. Don’t sleep on the vibrato sounds in the Polychrome. Set the D-F-V knob to maximum, feedback to a minimum, and the voice switch up for some unique pitch vibrato.  

Top-mounted input, output, and power jacks as well as soft switch relay bypassing make the Polychrome fit well on your board and ensure smooth operation for years to come.

Der Lillian ist ein vollanaloger, mehrstufiger True-Bypass-Phaser, der von seiner Cousine Julia inspiriert wurde. Mit Reglern wie Rate, Width, Feedback und D-P-V Blend bietet der Lillian eine breite Palette an analogen Phaser-Eigenschaften, die darauf warten, eingestellt zu werden.

The Lillian is a true bypass, all analog, multi-stage Phaser drawing inspiration from her cousin Julia. With controls like Rate, Width, Feedback, and D-P-V blend, the Lillian is packed with a wide array of analog phaser goodness waiting to be dialed in.

The “Stages” switch allows the user to select 4 or 6 stages which alters the overall voice of the effect from warm and tight phasing with 4 stages to a more complex filtered sound with 6.

The D-P-V knob lets you blend between dry, phase shifted, and vibrato sounds allowing for a wide range of control over the intensity and type of effect.

Top mounted input, output, and power jacks as well as soft switch relay bypassing make the Lillian fit well on your board and ensure smooth operation for years to come. 

Borrowed from the Julia, the unique blend between Dry, Chorus and Vibrato has also been provided on the Lillian. Blend between Dry, Phase Shifted, and Vibrato (labeled d-p-v on the pedal). The Dry-Phase-Vibrato blend changes the ratio of dry to wet signal sent to the output. At minimum, you will hear no effect. Set it to noon for equal parts dry and wet – the traditional Phaser setting. Set it to maximum for 100% wet resulting in pitch vibrato. Explore the ground between minimum and noon for adding slight amounts of movement to your dry signal. Explore the ground between noon and maximum for all sorts of unheard phase/vibrato combinations.
