Der Ether: Modulated Reverberator liefert weite, ambiente und schimmernde Klanglandschaften. Mit seinen endlosen Ausklingzeiten lässt sich das Pedal zusätzlich durch Tap Tempo Vibrato, Tremolo und Harmonic-Tremolo manipulieren – all das entführt Sie in ein Reich dunkler, höhlenartiger Leere und unheimlicher, aber dennoch schimmernder Reflexionen. Ambient-Glückseligkeit ist nur einen Tritt entfernt.

Die Reise mit dem Ether begann mit einer einfachen Frage: Welche Texturen lassen sich durch starke (oder subtile) Modulation eines höhlenartigen Ambient-Halls erzeugen, während das trockene Signal unberührt bleibt? Das Ergebnis ist Ether, ein kraftvoller und dennoch vielseitiger Hall, der für eindringlich schöne Klanglandschaften entwickelt wurde.

Während die meisten Shimmer-Halls einen engelsgleichen Effekt anstreben, bevorzugt unser Designteam eine etwas verdrehtere Klangsignatur. Deshalb haben wir einen Shimmer-Algorithmus entwickelt, der beim Abklingen dazu neigt, sich zu verflüchtigen und so einen Klang zu erzeugen, der in einen von Ether erzeugten dissonanten Dunst getaucht ist. Der Decay-Regler entführt Sie aus dem engen Raum in die unendlichen Weiten des Himmels, während Sie mit dem Color-Regler den Klang so dunkel oder bissig gestalten können, wie Sie möchten. Dank des erweiterten Bereichs des Level-Reglers kann die Ausgabe des Hallsignals das trockene Signal übertönen – für besonders farbenfrohe Effekte.

Kommen wir nun zu dem, was dieses Pedal wirklich von einem gewöhnlichen Hallgerät unterscheidet: die Modulation. Wir haben dieses kompakte Pedal mit drei verschiedenen Modulationsarten ausgestattet, jeweils mit drei verschiedenen LFO-Formen und Tap-Tempo-Funktion. Das Vibrato verleiht dem Effekt eine schmelzende Fluidität und einen verwaschenen Chorus-Sound, während das Tremolo subtile Wellen aufteilt oder die Ausklingphase für einen perkussiveren Abklang komplett zerhackt. Das Harmonic-Tremolo verleiht einen wunderbaren Push/Pull-Charakter, der das Klangspektrum zwischen Höhen und Tiefen verschiebt und gleichzeitig alles dazwischen mitschwingt.

The Ether: Modulated Reverberator, delivers vast ambient and shimmering soundscapes. With endless tails, the pedal is further manipulated by Tap Tempo Vibrato, Tremolo and Harmonic-Tremolo, all designed to bring you to a realm of dark, cavernous voids and eerie, yet shimmering reflections. Ambient bliss is only a stomp away. 

The journey with the Ether started with a simple question. What textures could be created by heavily (or subtly) modulating a cavernous ambient reverb, while at the same time leaving the dry signal untouched? The result is Ether, a powerful, yet versatile reverb that is designed to create hauntingly beautiful soundscapes.

While most Shimmer reverbs aim for an angelic effect, our design team prefer things to have a little more of a twisted sonic signature. So we created a shimmer algorithm that has a tendency to devolve as it decays, creating a sound drenched in an Ether induced dissonant haze. The Decay control takes you from a confined space to the infinite heavens, while the Color knob allows you to make the tone all as dark or as snappy as you please. With an extended range on the Level knob, the output of the reverb signal can overtake the dry signal, for those seeking extra colourful effects.

Now let’s talk about what really sets this pedal apart from being just another reverb box - the modulation. We have equipped this compact goliath of a stompbox with 3 different modulation types, each with 3 different LFO shapes and Tap Tempo operation. The Vibrato adds a melting fluidity and washed out chorus flavour to the verb while the Tremolo can divide things up into subtle waves or absolutely chop up your tails for a more percussive decay. Finally, the Harmonic-Tremolo adds a wonderful Push/Pull character that tilts the sonic spectrum between highs and lows, all while sweeping everything in between.

Das EM-III baut auf dem Electroman Delay-Erbe von SGFX auf und schafft es, Vergangenheit, Gegenwart und Zukunft gleichermaßen widerzuspiegeln. Mit dem Farbregler können Sie sowohl Hochpass- als auch Tiefpassfilter aktivieren. In der Mitte erhalten Sie ein makelloses digitales Delay mit vollem Frequenzbereich. Drehen Sie den Regler nach links, um die Höhen abzusenken und warme, trübe, analog anmutende Wiederholungen zu erzeugen. Drehen Sie den Regler nach rechts, um die Tiefen für knackige und helle Wiederholungen im Tape-Stil oder hauchdünne Lo-Fi-Delays zu entfernen.

Das EM-III erweitert die Klangpalette um interaktive Warp- und Glitch-Funktionen. Halten Sie Tap gedrückt, um die Warp-Funktion zu aktivieren. Diese erhöht die Wiederholungen bis zur Selbstoszillation und erzeugt so eine anschwellende Klangwand. Building on SGFX’s Electroman Delay legacy, the EM-III manages to both echo the past, present and future. With EM-III’s wide-ranging yet ultra-intuitive control set, placing warm analog-voiced echoes, precise and modern delays, as well as experimental and futuristic sound designs and octave overtones, are all just a single stomp away. 

The color knob allows you to engage both high-pass and low-pass filtering. Dead-center you have a pristine full-frequency digital delay. Dial it to the left and you cut the highs, creating warm, murky analog-esque repeats. Dial it to the right and you suck out the lows for crisp and bright tape-style repeats or super thin lo-fi delays.

The EM-III also brings interactive warp and glitch features to the tonal table. Hold the Tap to engage the warp function which increases the repeats until self-oscillation, creating a swelling wall of sound. Hold Bypass to engage the glitch feature which replicates the sound of a tape motor on the fritz and a tape reel snapping, or hold both for glorious noise seances that will act as the perfect song/set closer.

Das EQD Tentacle erzeugt einen klassischen Octave-Up-Effekt abgeleitet aus dem Hoof Reaper Pedal. Regler benötigt das Tentacle nicht, nur einen Fußschalter. Das EQD Tentacle lässt sich solo einsetzen oder mit jedem beliebigen Fuzz-, Overdrive- oder Distortion-Pedal kombinieren. Zudem funktioniert der Fußschalter als Standard Latching Schalter als auch als Momentary Switch, sodass du den Effekt immer nur genau so lange nutzen kannst wie du ihn brauchst. Das Tentacle arbeitet analog, ist mit True Bypass und einer geräuschlosen relais-basierten Soft-Touch Schaltung ausgestattet, verfügt über ein neues Gehäuse und wird in Handarbeit in Ohio/USA gefertigt.

The Tentacle is a classic analog octave up effect. It is the very same octave from the popular Hoof Reaper pedal. It doesnt need any knobs, just one footswitch. The EQD Tentacle works just as well on its own as it does with fuzz, overdrive and distortion pedals. It can be activated in standard latching operation or in momentary operation, by just holding the footswitch down for as long as youd use the effect. The Tentacle is all analog, True Bypass with a silent relay-based switching, equipped with new enclosure and is hand made in Ohio, USA.

In erster Linie erzeugt das Pedal jedoch heftige Distortions bis hin fast zum Fuzz und kann mächtig viel Pegel erzeugen! Das Pedal reagiert sehr dynamisch auf die Spielweise. Das Acapulco Gold verfügt über True Bypass und wird in Handarbeit in Akron, Ohio un den USA hergestellt.  

Das Acapulco Gold V2 verfügt über einen geräuschlosen, relais-basierten Soft-Touch Fußschalter. Audiosignale haben keinen Durchgang, wenn das Gerät nicht mit Strom versorgt wird.

One knob, many possibilities. The Acapulco Gold is a “one knob power amp distortion box” based on the vibe of a cranked Sunn Model T. The Acapulco Gold interacts perfectly with the Volume and Tone controls of the guitar cleaning as they are rolled down. For those who would like to give their tube amps a “Sunn Model T” kick, the Acapulco Gold is the perfect choice. However, the pedal can produce aggressive distortion sounds in the verge of Fuzz. It responds very dynamically to the playing style. The Acapulco Gold features True Bypass and it’s hand built in Akron, Ohio in the USA. 

The Acapulco Gold V2 uses silent relay-based soft touch switching. Audio will not pass without power.

Beta MKII is a beefed-up version of the original Beta circuit, giving you plenty of tube-like gain without the fizz or hassle. Two modes of operation dictate the amount of grime, tonal colorization, or both. These modes are Preamp and Overdrive.

The Beta MKII’s Preamp side disengages the Gain control for a smooth, even-keeled preamp colorization. Both Tone and Volume controls are active in this position, for a subtle sweetening that you’ll never turn off—think of those old Muscle Shoals tones or an Ampeg B15 Portaflex.

Der SolidGoldFX Imperial MKII ist ein Gatete-Fuzz-Effektpedal, das vom JEN Jumbo Fuzz der 1970er-Jahre inspiriert ist und satte, kraftvolle Fuzz-Sounds sowie eine dynamische Ansprache für Gitarre, Bass oder Synth bietet. Es verwendet eine JFET-Vorverstärker-Schaltung mit hoher Impedanz für ein geringes Rauschverhalten und feine Detailwiedergabe, vier Slideregler zur Kontrolle von Volume, Tone, Contour (Mittenformung) und Fuzz sowie ein verbessertes Rauschgate für nahezu kein Rauschen bei hohen Verzerrungsstufen. Das Pedal hat oben angeordnete Buchsen, zwei LED-Anzeigeleuchten für Bypass- und Gate-Status und eine True-Bypass-Schaltung für unbearbeiteten Klang im Bypass-Modus. Es wird in Kanada handgefertigt und hat ein retro-inspiriertes Design.

Upon first glance at the Imperial MKII, you might be intrigued by its charmingly retro appearance. Inspired by the JEN Jumbo fuzz, which is one of our personal favorite vintage fuzzes, the Imperial MKII’s four sliders, textured black paint and bold red graphics show that this pedal means business.

If a ripping, royally raucous fuzz, with impeccable manners, is what you seek in your tone conquest or whether you are chasing those soaring Gilmour-esque leads that propel you to the far side of the moon, then look no further than the Imperial MKII.

So, what is the JEN Jumbo Fuzz and what makes it so awesome? JEN Elettronica was an Italian manufacturer who made pedals for Vox, Dallas Arbiter and Sound City (among others), in addition to making equipment under their own brand. The Jumbo Fuzz was their spin on the venerable EHX Big Muff® that swapped the knobs out for sliders and added a nifty germanium noise gate. In terms of sound, the tuning of the Jumbo Fuzz lies somewhere in the Ram’s Head camp - not overly scooped or woofy, with a nice gain range - just a great sounding pedal!

While the Jumbo’s noise gate is a great feature and gives this BMP variant a unique attack with practically zero noise, vintage units vary greatly from one unit to another, with some gating too much and others not at all. Capturing the Jumbo Fuzz’s vibe and redesigning the gate was essential to our Imperial redesign. Let’s dive in…
