Description

The SUV Low Rider is a transparent sounding low gain overdrive pedal. The idea behind the Low Rider pedal is to give you the sound of an amp just going into saturation. Think of a Fender Deluxe Reverb or a Marshall Plexi at 5 or 6. The SUV Low Rider barely changes the basic sound of your amp and brings it into the breakup range with a gain of 11 - 1. With higher settings you get a nice overdrive sound. In addition to the standard tone control, there are 2 mini switches (Low Ride + Air Ride) with which you can adjust the sound to your liking. The Low Ride switch has 3 positions with which you can add lower mid/bass frequencies. This is very useful for amps that do not have a midrange control (e.g. smaller Fender Silver and Blackface amps). The Air Ride switch is a gain boost that adds overdrive but also a certain presence. This can be helpful to cut through the mix.
