Dark Star is a characterful lo-fi reverb, ideal for slow attack and pad generation. Around the core voice are a number of controls for signal degradation, filtering, pitch shifting, added delay, and utilities like mix and volume. For integration into many different rigs, Dark Star has stereo in and out with analog dry through and trails or true bypass switching. Presets, expression control over every knob, and MIDI control over every element round out the robust feature set.  This is a reverb for anywhere in your signal chain, and almost an instrument of its own.

Before the reflection, is the experience. Before phenomena, or even noumena, is that which is undefinable. That which has never been heard, that which will never be heard again and that which has always been heard but never listened to.

K-field (Simulation mathematics), an  undefined, two-dimensional, non-linear field where past and future forces interact at irregular intervals. Shallow Water generates this k-field by randomly modulating a short time delay to create unexpected shifts in pitch. The result is this non cyclical vibrato/chorus/flanger-type thing favouring old tape flavours.

The water is shallow on this side of the pool. Do not dive and you will not drown.

Gespielte Noten aus dem Halo 'tanzen rhythmisch' und erzeugen fast eine Reverb-ähnliche Diffusion. Diese Noten werden mit Tape-ähnlichen Effekten wie Modulation, Sättigung und Kompression zusammengehalten. Das Pedal bietet neben Andy Timmons Signature Delay Tone die Möglichkeit eigene Sounds zu kreieren und als Preset zu speichern. Zusätzlich zu Andys charakteristischem 'Halo'-Sound bietet das Pedal vier weitere Rhythm-Modes: Viertelnoten, punktierte Achtel, Bucket Brigade (BBD) und ein klassisches Multi-Head Tape Echo. Atemberaubende Stereo-Effekte und eine makellose Klangqualität werden durch Regler für Saturation, Tone und Shelving-Filter weiter verbessert, um das Keeley Halo zum 'ultimativen' Delay Effektpedal zu machen.

Andy Timmons' mysterious sounding 'Halo' effect is a modulated dual echo sound that has long been kept a secret by the tone wizard himself and he spent decades combining and crafting the sounds you can get from the Keeley Halo effects pedal. Notes from the Halo dance rhythmically, almost creating a reverb diffusion. Those notes are held together with tape-style effects like modulation, saturation, and compression. The pedal comes loaded with Andy Timmons' signature delay tone and you can program your own sounds and save them as presets. Easily bounce between Side A and B on the fly, essentially giving you two delay pedals in one. In addition to Andy's signature 'Halo' sound, there are numerous other rhythmic delays including: quarter note, dotted 8th, stereo rack mount analog delay, and a vintage multi-head tape echo. Designed in collaboration with Pedaltrain, this wah has been carefully crafted for maximum layout efficiency on the world's most popular boards. Front-mounted input, output, and power jacks allow for a tighter configuration of pedals, freeing up space on the sides that would normally be taken up by cable ends. And speaking of cables, the Cry Baby Junior Wah's 8" housing length lines up perfectly with the routing spaces on boards such as those from Pedaltrain's Metro Series, in particular—as well as those from the Classic, Novo, and Terra Series—making for a nice, clean arrangement of cords.

The Keeley Dark Side is a full thick fuzz going into a modulation section which includes Uni-Vibe, Rotary Speaker and Multi Head Tape Delay among others, which is capable of yielding a ton of classic sounds inspired by David Gilmour. The Dark Side is not just a “Gilmour Tone emulator” though, in line with Robert Keeley’s “Neo Vintage” philosophy, it is rather his take on what he believes could have been improved on those classic tones should the technology had been around at the time. Der Ventris liefert neben der langen Liste an benötigten Kontrollmöglichkeiten und bietet zusätzlich einige Neuheiten. Der A+B Kippschalter macht es super einfach zwischen den zwei Signalprozessoren hin und her zu schalten oder diese zu kombinieren um einzigartige Dual-Reverb Effekte zu generieren. Stereo Ein- und Ausgänge liefern neben einer ultra-breiten Stereo-Streuung überlebensgroße Ambience Sounds. Der Option Fußschalter bietet eine Vielzahl von hands-free Kontrollmöglichkeiten wie Preset Scrolling, Umschalten zwischen den Prozessoren, Reverb Hold, Runaway Reverb und Tap Tempo. Der Ventris bietet außerdem 8 Onboard Presets und zusätzlich volle MIDI Funktionalität (was die verfügbaren Presets auf 128 erweitert), Expression Control und vieles mehr. Darüber hinaus ist der Ventris selbstverständlich auch kompatibel mit der Source Audio Neuro App sowie dem Desktop Editor und erlaubt somit die Steuerung und Einstellung umfangreicher Effektparameter per Computer oder Smartphone. Die so erstellten Custom Reverb Effekte können dann auf einfachstem Wege auf eine der Kippschalter Positionen bzw. eines der 128 Presets gelegt werden.

Ventris Dual Reverb

The Reverend is my take on one of my all-time favorite pedals: The sought-after, vintage Bixonic Expandora – One of the first ‘Boutique’ pedals, Made in Japan, used among the greatest guitarists the likes of Joe Satriani, Megadeth, Bootsy Collins, Slipknot… And made famous by Billy Gibbons for its ZZ Top signature sound.

The Expandora was a phenomenal Overdrive/Distortion/Fuzz, a highly evolved Rat with an ‘expander’ circuit that made the pedal dynamically sensitive, allowing users to vary the amount of distortion with the pick’s attack or by adjusting their instrument’s volume knob. 

Imagine playing La Grange and being able to go from the clean part to the distortion part just by strumming harder. That’s the magic of this circuit!
