Description
The PastFx Retiklon is a limited-run boutique overdrive pedal designed to recreate the tonal nuances of a famous overdrive circuit while omitting its notorious noise-prone surge-pump and voltage-doubler power converter chip. It features germanium clipping diodes, a pushbutton buffered or true bypass switching configuration, and a decorative non-functional Reticon SAD1024 BBD chip alongside a carbon composition resistor. The control layout includes standard gain, output, bass, and treble knobs, complemented by a presence toggle switch for selecting stock or high-frequency response modes. Power is delivered via an external direct current source requiring 18 to 24 volts. Housed in a compact metal enclosure, it provides specialized overdrive tones without the background noise typically associated with legacy charge-pump designs.Media
