The improved RockBoard® MODs V2 are simple all-in-one patchbays for RockBoard pedalboards with a new, refreshed design, and compact housing. Utilizing the MOD slot on all new RockBoards® (except the DUO series), they provide various cable connections to fit a wide variety of needs as a convenient patchbay. With the RockBoard® MODs, you can permanently connect your pedals underneath your board and organize all connections to and from your effects setup in one convenient module. The RockBoard® MODs provide a central access point from your instrument to your amp, as well as your power supply via IEC, and a 2.1 x 5.5 barrel thru power connector. The RockBoard® MOD 3 V2 is a pass-thru box designed for use by vocalists and acoustic players. The 2x XLR outputs allow you to send a stereo signal from your MOD and the 1x XLR input can be used to connect your microphone. You can also use it to run several pedals from your board through the effects loop of your amp, or simply use the MOD as a central access point to your pedalboard.

Der amerikanische Effektpedal-Hersteller Xotic ist bekannt für seine gut klingenden Overdrive-Pedale. Auf der NAMM 2019 in Anaheim zeigte er zwei interessante Neuheiten, die das Portfolio zukünftig ergänzen werden: den Xotic Super Sweet Booster und den Xotic Super Clean Buffer.

The Xotic Super Clean buffer landed on my board in an attempt to fight a major tone loss issue caused by my GigRig QuarterMaster loop switcher (check out my QuarterMaster review to learn more). Since I discovered that tone issue with the switcher, I started looking for possible simple cures that can bring sanity back to my board. I was really trying to avoid getting into replacing my QuarterMaster, simply because I had a really tough year, full of gear issues, technicians and technical support and I just got tired of it. I ended up getting an Xotic Super Clean and I'm very happy with it so far. My clean tone has never been so good through any pedal board before, with or without the switcher.

MINI KATANA CLEAN BOOST!  Keeley’s oldest design made smaller and with an additional feature.  The Katana started back in 2002 within the Time Machine Boost.  It was a dual class A JFET design that gave players and incredible boost and sounded so good they never turned off.  In fact they often ran two or three on stages like John Mayer!  The Mini Katana boost provides over 35dB of boost.  Enough for the most demanding players and sound reinforcement.The new Mini Katana is now a 4 Mode Booster!  With the dual micro switches you have a total of four sounds possible.  Need drive, just flip the micro Hi-Gain Switch inside and you’ve got overdriven tone!  Flip the Hi-Cut Switch (NEW for the Katana Mini!) on the inside and you have a warmer tone to soften any Strat or Tele.  Flip both switches and you have the ultimate sounding boost, thick, creamy, tube-amp sounding, and plenty of volume on tap!

The Duke of Tone Overdrive likewise carries forward the same simple-yet-effective control interface. Volume, Drive, and Tone knobs cover all your basic tweaks while the Boost/OD/Distortion switch allows you to set the overall attitude of the pedal’s output. Boost mode gives you a clean-yet-vigorous bump, OD mode adds a touch of grit and compression, and Distortion mode adds a touch more of each. In all modes, your rig still sounds like your rig. Der JHS Pedals Overdrive Preamp ist eine originalgetreue Nachbildung der ersten Version ("Big Box V1") von DODs beliebtestem Pedal, dem Overdrive / Preamp (250). Die Regelmöglichkeiten sind denkbar einfach: Der Level-Regler bestimmt den Output der Schaltung und bietet je nach Setting einen Boost oder Cut des Signals. Der Level-Regler wurde im Vergleich zum Original modifiziert (bzw. korrigiert), wodurch die Version von JHS Pedals deutlich mehr Volume bietet. Der Gain-Regler kontrolliert die Verstärkung innerhalb der Overdrive-Sektion. Höhere Settings bringen den Op-Amp und das Hard Clipping in die Sättigung und erzeugen so ein stärkeres Clipping und einen satten Drive-Sound. Der Slide-Schalter ist eine spezielle Erweiterung, die es beim ursprünglichen DOD 250 so nicht gab. Bei der Recherche zu den ersten Versionen des 250 Pedals fand JHS Pedals eine Version, die ein völlig anderes Clipping Arrangement nutze - also entschied man sich einfach beide Versionen für den Overdrive Preamp zu nutzen, damit Musiker die klanglichen Variationen selber entdecken können. Der JHS Pedals Overdrive Preamp bietet insgesamt mehr Gain / Grit und mehr Bässe und Mitten als die späteren Versionen des DOD 250.

The JHS Pedals Overdrive Preamp is a faithful replication of the first version ("Big Box V1") of DOD's most loved pedal, the Overdrive / Preamp (250). The controls are simple. The Level control adjusts the overall output of the circuit and lets you cut or boost the signal. The Level control of this version has been modified (corrected) from the original wiring, giving this pedal much more volume on tap. The Gain control adjusts the amount of gain inside the overdrive circuit. Turning up the Gain control creates more clipping as it pushes the op-amp and hard clipping into overdrive. JHS Pedals also added a slider switch, which wasn't included with the original DOD 250. While researching the original pedal, JHS Pedals acquired a second early big-box unit which used a completely different clipping arrangement, so they decided to offer this switch so that you could explore these two variations for yourself. The JHS Pedals Overdrive Preamp features more gain / grit overall and more unique low / mids than the later versions of the DOD 250.
