My current live/studio board! Used mainly in a pop/rock college cover band. Pretty versatile for what I do with it - sometimes the Ruby can be limiting but that's whats so great about it! Next step would be a GEQ after the ruby, pre the bluesky to do some final tone shaping.

Es verwendet True-Bypass-Schaltung und eine vollständig analoge Elektronik, um den saubersten Signalweg zu gewährleisten. The TS Mini is a compact version of Ibanez’s legendary Tube Screamer overdrive pedal. It delivers the same classic drive, tone and level controls in a form-factor roughly half the size of the original. It uses true-bypass switching and 100% analog circuitry to preserve the cleanest signal path. It is optimized for pedalboards where space is at a premium while retaining the characteristic “mid-hump” overdrive that made the Tube Screamer family iconic.

Artists from every genre have used the iconic tones in this unassuming black box to create their sounds, including Nirvana, John Scofield, Pink Floyd, Metallica, REM, the Eagles, Jeff Beck and Radiohead. The JHS Pedals PackRat uses the same unique digital runway system as the Muffuletta and the Bonsai to direct the paths of 261 components through 40 individual switches. This means that when you choose one of the nine legendary or rare modes (OG V1, White Face V3, Turbo V5, BRAT V6, Dirty V7, LA, Landgraff MO'D, Caroline, JHS Mode), you are playing fully analog circuits that perfectly replicate that mode, even down to the aging components (also known as component drift). The operation of the PackRat is about as simple as it gets.

Das UAFX Ruby ’63 ist das dritte Amp-Modeling-Pedal aus dem Hause Universal Audio und widmet sich der präzisen Nachbildung eines Vox AC30 aus der JMI-Ära der 1960er-Jahre. Drei Kanäle stehen zur Verfügung und natürlich auch eine Nachbildung des typischen Vibrato/Tremolo-Effekts. Dazu gibt es diverse Boost-Funktionen und auf der Lautsprecherseite stehen sechs verschiedene Cabs zur Auswahl.

I know that Universal Audio did a good job of capturing the spirit of an AC30 in the UAFX Ruby ’63 amp emulation, because excitement is the first thing I felt. The Ruby ’63 is lively, explosive, reactive, clear, and, yeah, even pretty chimey. And I was very impressed at how it imparted those qualities to decidedly non-Vox-y black-panel Fender amps, and vintage Fender cabinet emulations in UA’s OX Amp emulator. You know how a lot of pedals claiming to be an amp-in-a-box tend to be vaguely similar in terms of EQ and gain structure, but miss the details? The Ruby ’63 is not that. It’s an exhaustively executed emulation that takes you several miles further down the road to true amp-ness. And it sounds and feels awfully close to the real thing.

Zum Betrieb benötigt die Millenium DI-E als passive DI-Box noch nicht einmal Phantomspannung oder eine Batterie, was nur einer der Gründe ist, warum sie seit Jahrzehnten bewährt und beliebt ist. Dabei geht die DI-E gegen Störungen des eingehenden Tonsignals auf gleich zwei Arten vor. Zum einen symmetriert die Box das anliegende unsymmetrische Signal, damit es auf langen Kabelwegen ohne Einstreuungen ans Ziel gelangt. Zum anderen durchbricht ein Ground-Lift-Schalter Masseschleifen. Besonders starke Eingangslevel kann die DI-E, da sie mit einem entsprechenden Umschalter ausgestattet ist, ebenfalls verarbeiten. Was sie sonst noch so drauf hat, verrät ein Blick aufs Gehäuse.

This small tool reliably eliminates the most common causes of humming and hissing in sound systems. As a passive DI box, the Millenium DI-E does not even need phantom power or a battery to operate, which is just one of the reasons why it has been tried and tested and popular for decades. The DI-E counteracts interference in the incoming audio signal in two ways. Firstly, the box balances the incoming unbalanced signal so that it reaches its destination over long cable runs without interference. Secondly, a ground lift switch breaks ground loops. The DI-E can also handle particularly strong input levels because it is equipped with a corresponding switch. A look at the housing reveals what else it can do.
