Dimebag Darrell kombinierte die Attitüde eines Cowboys mit High-Gain Riffs und schreienden Leads voller Pinch Harmonics. Durch seine Erfahrung aus jahrelangen Touren half Dimebag Dunlop bei der Entwicklung des flexibelsten Wah-Pedals aller Zeiten: Dem Dime Cry Baby From Hell Wah. 

Dunlop baute das Dime Cry Baby Wah-Pedal auf der Grundlage des 535Q, nahm die Q-Control, den 6-Wege Range Schalter und den schalt- und regelbaren Boost, modifizierte die Sweep Range speziell nach den Bedürfnissen von Dimebag, fügte einen Regler für die max. Sweep Range und einen zweiten Output hinzu und installierte zwei Status LEDs an der Rückseite des Pedals, die den Zustand von Wah und Boost anzeigen. Als letztes Detail wurde die klassische Gummi-Matte auf der Oberseite durch Skateboard Skip Tape getauscht, damit das Pedal auch in Kontakt mit Feuchtigkeit absolut rutschfest bleibt.

Dimebag Darrell combined a cowboy’s swagger with high-gain riffs and squealing pinch harmonic-laden leads. One of the most significant elements of his sound and dynamics was the Cry Baby Wah, and at a time when wah pedals had fallen out of fashion, Dime flew his wah flag high. Armed with his hard-earned expertise and insight from years of touring, he helped Dunlop devise the most versatile wah in their lineup: The Dime Cry Baby from Hell Wah.

Work on this pedal first began some 20 years ago when Dime, a long-time user of the super customizable Cry Baby 535Q Multi-Wah, wanted even more freedom when setting up his rig on stage. Starting with the 535Q, Dunlop carried over its Q control, 6-way range selector, and adjustable kick-in boost. Next, Dunlop hot-rodded it with a wide sweep range for Dime to dig deep and fly high, a control to adjust the pedal’s toe-down frequency, an extra output for splitting your signal to a separate FX chain, and back-mounted LED indicators to conveniently show whether the wah is on and whether the boost is engaged. Finally, Dunlop replaced the standard rubber tread with skateboard skid tape so that your foot doesn’t slip on any spilled beverages.

A - GUITAR-Section
1. Das Neural DSP Quad Cortex (CC) ist die zentrale Gitarren-Effekt-Einheit dieses Boards.

2. Dazu das Expression-Pedal von BOSS für die Wah-Wah-Effekte und was es sonst noch am CC zu steuern gilt.

3. Effekteinschleifung:
     a) das BOSS RE-20 Space Echo 
     b) das BOSS ML-2 Metal-Core und
     c) der BOSS BD-2 Blues Driver
werden in das CC eingeschleift und dort entsprechend verwendet.

4. Am Signal-Eingang steht dem Board ein BOSS-LS Line Selecotr zur Anpassung unterschiedlicher Eingangssignale (E-Guitar/A-Guitar) zur vergügung.

5. Der MOOER Pure-Boost sorg bei Bedarf für das nötige "Vorglühen".

6. ... und weil so viel Platz auf dem Board ist, konnte ich den Page-Turner von M-WAVE auch noch unterbringen.


B - VOCAL-Section
Hier hat das Board ein TC-HELICON VOICE LIVE play (VLP), welches in einigen unserer Songs (Coverband) für notwendige Spezial-Effekte am Mikrofon sorgt. Das VLP wurde auf das zugehörige Mikrofon (Sennheiser 935 evolution) eingestellt.

Das RockBoard MOD 4 - All-in-One Wireless System Receiver + Patchbay für Pedalboards bietet eine einfach zu realisierende, kabellose Verbindung zwischen deinem Instrument und deinem Pedalboard. Dabei nutzt es eine digitale Wireless Technologie, die eine beeindruckende Klangqualität, ein einfaches Setup und eine zuverlässige Nutzung für aktive Musiker garantiert. Das Wireless System arbeitet im 2,4 GHz ISM Band und kann so weltweit ohne Beschränkungen genutzt werden. Mit einem nutzbaren Frequenzbereich von 20 Hz - 20 kHz und nur 5 ms Latenz bleiben keine Wünsche offen. Die Patchbay-Sektion wurde entwickelt um Verbindungen und Anschlüsse des Pedalboards von der Unterseite nach außen zu führen, dir einen zentralen Zugangspunkt zu deinem Setup zur Verfügung zu stellen und um deine Kabelwege aufzuräumen und sortieren zu können. Die A, B, C und D TRS Buchsen sind als direkte, durchgängige Verbindungen von der Vorderseite des MOD 4 zu den entsprechenden Buchsen auf der Rückseite verkabelt. Damit kannst du deine Effekt-Kette so einrichten, dass du bei der Vorbereitung auf den Gig lediglich Kabel an der Vorderseite des Boards einstecken musst, anstatt unter dem Board zu hantieren.

Dreadbox DISORDER ist ein sehr aggressives Fuzz-Pedal mit einem Twist. Es ist mit einem selbstoszillierenden Filter ausgestattet, mit dem man oszillierende Fuzz-Sounds erzeugen kann.

Zusätzlich verfügt es über einen Tiefpass- und Hochpassfilter, der es auch für Gitarre und Bass geeignet macht. Schließlich ist auch ein Envelope Follower vorhanden, mit dem man Wah-Wah-Sounds erzeugen kann.

Dreadbox DISORDER is a very aggressive fuzz pedal with a twist. It is equipped with a self-oscillating filter, that allows you to produce oscillating fuzz sounds.

Additionally it has a low pass and high pass filter, that makes it suitable for guitar and bass as well. Finally an envelope follower is also present, allowing you to create wah wah sounds.
