Description
The Nerdvana X is a specialized modulation effect designed to replicate the elusive "Pedal X" tone heard on the Steve Albini mix of the song Heart-Shaped Box. Rather than a direct clone of the original mysterious custom unit, it utilizes an alternate tremolo-based topology to achieve a range of "dirty" modulation sounds. The circuit offers two primary modes: Subtle, which transitions from pulsing tremolo to vibrato-like warble, and Bold, which pushes the signal into extreme ring modulation territory. Internal dip switches allow users to fine-tune the saturation levels to match specific studio recordings.
