Das TS Mini ist eine kompakte Version des legendären Overdrive-Pedals von Ibanez aus der Tube Screamer-Reihe. Es bietet die klassischen Regler für Drive, Tone und Level in einem Gehäuse mit etwa halber Größe des Originals. Es verwendet True-Bypass-Schaltung und eine vollständig analoge Elektronik, um den saubersten Signalweg zu gewährleisten. Es ist für Pedalboards mit begrenztem Platz konzipiert, ohne den typischen Mitten-Boost-Charakter der Tube Screamer-Serie zu verlieren.

The TS Mini is a compact version of Ibanez’s legendary Tube Screamer overdrive pedal. It delivers the same classic drive, tone and level controls in a form-factor roughly half the size of the original. It uses true-bypass switching and 100% analog circuitry to preserve the cleanest signal path. It is optimized for pedalboards where space is at a premium while retaining the characteristic “mid-hump” overdrive that made the Tube Screamer family iconic.

The original 1980’s PT-9 Phaser was a great pedal, but a little known fact is that Maxon also offered a different version of that model that was only sold in Japan under the Maxon brand – dubbed the PT-9 Pro, this silver-boxed rarity featured optical circuitry for a lush, drippy, 3D phasing effect similar to vintage units such as the Mu-Tron Phaser II and the Shin-Ei Uni-Vibe.

The PT-9 Pro+ Phaser takes this ultra-rare version of the PT-9 and adds a voltage-doubling IC to offer massive headroom and an improved frequency response, yielding fat, full-bodied phasing with incredible clarity and transparency.

In the past couple of years, Chinese pedal maker NUX has been releasing some not too subtle (and incredibly affordable) clones of several best-selling classic stompboxes under the rather misleadingly named “Reissue Series” (uhm, reissues of pedals… made by other builders?). Nothing wrong with cloning (almost everyone does it) we are just a little perplexed by the use of the “reissue” word.

Even just the color of their Analog Delay betrays the influence of classic Ibanez / Maxon three-knob Bucket Brigade Device delays from the ’80s. That’s exactly what you get with this pedal: the warm repeats of the 3205 and 3102 BBD chips, for just under $60!

You can judge from the videos below if the Nux Analog Delay sounds as good as the units that inspired it. We added this pedal to our list of the Best Analog Delay Pedals.
