Es stimmt, bei einem Gig hat Brian einmal ein modifiziertes Pedal vor die Füße von Brad Paisley geworfen, in der Hoffnung, dass er es aufheben und ausprobieren würde. Zum Glück für uns und für dich hob Brads Techniker es auf, spielte es - fand es toll und gab es Brad, der es mitnahm und es LIEBTE. Von diesem Zeitpunkt an hat er Wampler-Pedale benutzt und geliebt.

Nachdem er einige Jahre lang unsere Pedale (Ego, Underdog und Faux AnalogEcho) benutzt hatte, erwähnte Brads damaliger Techniker Chad gegenüber Brian, dass Brad mit seinem Sound nicht 100%ig zufrieden sei und wir vielleicht alle zusammenarbeiten sollten, um den perfekten Overdrive für Brad zu bauen, mit dem er aufnehmen und auf Tour gehen könnte. Seine Anforderungen waren recht „einfach“... es sollte clean sein, aber auch crunchy mit etwas „Beef“. Es muss einen fliessenden Ton beim Solospiel haben. Es muss dem Ton ein wenig Hair hinzufügen, aber dann muss es auch in der Lage sein, einen knallharten Gain zu liefern, oh... aber bitte nicht die Tonalität zerstören. Es muss alles haben, in einem Pedalformat, aber es darf nicht wie ein Pedal klingen!

Über einen Zeitraum von mehreren Monaten erstellte Brian einige Schaltkreise und schickte sie los. Hier und da wurden noch ein paar Feinheiten angepasst, und als schließlich der offizielle „Prototyp v2.0“ vorlag, wanderte er direkt in das Live-Rack und auf die Brad Paisley: H20"-Welttournee 2010.

Brad Paisley:
„...wir haben dieses (Pedal) tatsächlich im Studio aufgenommen, um es auszuprobieren. Ich habe einen Trainwreck-Verstärker, den ich habe, aufgedreht und den Sound der Verzerrung verglichen, und es war sehr, sehr ähnlich. Und das ist ein sehr guter Test, denn jedes Mal, wenn ein Pedal einen großartigen Overdrive-Verstärker imitieren kann, dann ist man auf einem guten Weg...“

It's true, at a gig Brian once threw a modified pedal at the feet of Brad Paisley in the hope that he would pick it up and try it. Fortunately for us, and you, Brad’s tech picked it up, played it - digged it and gave it to Brad who took it away and LOVED it. From that point on, he has used and loved Wampler Pedals.

After a few years of using our pedals (Ego, Underdog and Faux AnalogEcho) Brad’s tech at the time, Chad, mentioned to Brian that Brad wasn’t 100% content with his tone and maybe we should all work together to make the perfect overdrive for Brad to record and tour with. His requirements were quite “simple”… it needs to be clean but get crunchy with some “beef” to it. It needs to have a fluid tone when soloing. It needs to add a little hair to the tone but then but then has to be able to give flat out ball busting gain, oh… but please do not wreck the tonality. It needs to have everything, in a pedal format, but do not make it sound like a pedal!

Over a period of months, Brian made some circuits and sent them off, there were a couple of “tweaks” here and there to be made and then finally, when official “prototype v2.0” landed, it went straight into the live rack and out on the 2010 “Brad Paisley: H20” world tour.

Brad Paisley:
“…we actually recorded this (pedal) in the studio, you know, trying it out. I turned up a Trainwreck Amp that I’ve got and compared the sound of the distortion and it was very, very similar. And that’s a very good test because any time a pedal can mimic a great overdriven amp then you’re on to something…”

Die Pitch Fork von Electro Harmonix in unserem aktuellen bonedo-Test beweist einmal mehr, dass auch Pitch-Shifter Effektpedale inzwischen für jedes Budget erschwinglich sind. Dieser Effekt, der in den Achtzigern in einigen berühmten Gitarrenaufnahmen auftauchte, war damals für uns “normale” Musiker kaum erschwinglich. The EHX Pitch Fork transposes an instrument’s pitch over a +/- three octave range and features three modes which allow the pitch to be transposed up, down or both, simultaneously. The pitch shift amount can be set to a fixed interval or continuously varied by an expression pedal or control voltage.

The Source Audio One Series Collider Stereo Delay+Reverb combines two of the most popular effect types in one simple and intuitive pedal. Drawn from the effect engines of the award-winning Nemesis Delay and Ventris Dual Reverb, Collider offers the best delay and reverb effects in one compact, no-compromise package. The pedal allows for any combination of its five delay engines with any of its seven reverb effects and has dedicated ON/OFF switches for each effect. It is also possible to create independent dual delay or dual reverb presets. The pedal has dedicated MIDI input/output as well as support for expression control and remote switching. The Collider contains two completely independent 56-bit DSP processors, essentially housing a high-powered delay pedal and a high-powered reverb pedal in a single box. Its dual DSP platform gives the pedal the massive processing power to deliver two studio quality effects simultaneously.

The Vocal 300 is a floor-form vocal effects processor with a built-in expression pedal. It is equipped with multiple microphone preamp types and can be used to create everything from warm classic vocals to distortion and low-fidelity styles. The unit comes with 38 fully programmable studio-quality effects, allowing up to seven effects to be used at once. The built-in expression pedal can be assigned to control up to three parameters in real-time. It features 24-bit analog to digital and digital to analog converters and has an easy-to-use interface with a six-character alphanumeric display and a four-knob matrix editing system.
