Der Flat Earth ist ein Kompressionspedal, dessen Schaltung nicht einfach eine Kopie eines klassischen Designs ist. Es verwendet eine „Feed-Forward“-Schaltung, bei der das Signal vor dem Kompressorblock analysiert wird. Er ist so konzipiert, dass typische Probleme wie Pumpen, Rauschen und Klangverlust vermieden werden. Die Regler sind bewusst einfach gehalten: Level (Ausgangspegel), Sustain (Kompressions-Menge) und Attack (der Anschlagsanteil wird durchgelassen). The Flat Earth is a compressor pedal whose design is not a clone of a classic circuit. It uses a “feed-forward” design which determines compression by analysing the signal before the compressor block. It is built to avoid issues like pumping, noise and tone-loss often found in older compressor designs. The control layout is simple: Level (output level), Sustain (amount of compression) and Attack (allows some pick attack through).
