Mit drei TRS-Through-Verbindungen lässt sich das MOD 3 V2 außerdem als zentraler Zugang und Ausgang des Boards nutzen um zum Beispiel Effektpedale in den FX-Loop eines Verstärkers einzuschleifen.

The improved RockBoard® MODs V2 are simple all-in-one patchbays for RockBoard pedalboards with a new, refreshed design, and compact housing. Utilizing the MOD slot on all new RockBoards® (except the DUO series), they provide various cable connections to fit a wide variety of needs as a convenient patchbay. With the RockBoard® MODs, you can permanently connect your pedals underneath your board and organize all connections to and from your effects setup in one convenient module. The RockBoard® MODs provide a central access point from your instrument to your amp, as well as your power supply via IEC, and a 2.1 x 5.5 barrel thru power connector. The RockBoard® MOD 3 V2 is a pass-thru box designed for use by vocalists and acoustic players. Der MXR Wylde Audio Chorus ist ein analoges Chorus-Effektpedal, das reichhaltige, vintage-artige Modulationsklänge für Gitarrensounds erzeugt. Es verwendet klassische Bucket-Brigade-Schaltungen, um warme, üppige Chorus-Texturen zu liefern, die saubere Passagen verbreitern und verzerrte Riffs anreichern. Das Pedal verfügt über Regler für Level, Rate und Depth sowie Hoch- und Tieftonfilter zur Klangformung der Effekte. Mit zwei Ausgängen kann es ein breites Stereo-Modulationsbild erzeugen, wenn es über zwei Verstärker betrieben wird. The MXR Wylde Audio Chorus is an analog chorus effects pedal developed to add rich, vintage-style modulation to guitar tones. It uses classic bucket-brigade circuitry to deliver warm, lush chorus texture that can thicken clean passages and enhance distorted riffs. The pedal features controls for Level, Rate, and Depth as well as High-cut and Low-cut filters to tailor the effect’s tone. With dual outputs, it can produce wide stereo modulation when run through two amplifiers. It celebrates a collaboration between MXR and guitarist Zakk Wylde, offering versatile analog chorus tones suitable for many musical styles from subtle shimmer to more dramatic sweep.

Dieser Effekt, der in den Achtzigern in einigen berühmten Gitarrenaufnahmen auftauchte, war damals für uns “normale” Musiker kaum erschwinglich. Aber diese Zeiten haben sich glücklicherweise geändert. Pitch-Effekte sind inzwischen im Effektangebot vieler Hersteller zu recht günstigen Kursen zu finden.

The EHX Pitch Fork transposes an instrument’s pitch over a +/- three octave range and features three modes which allow the pitch to be transposed up, down or both, simultaneously. The pitch shift amount can be set to a fixed interval or continuously varied by an expression pedal or control voltage.

Was ist daran so besonders?

Die meisten E-Gitarren sind mit passiven Tonabnehmern ausgestattet und haben eine entsprechend hohe Ausgangsimpedanz. Bei Verwendung eines Gitarrenkabels von 6m oder länger geht im Höhenbereich je länger je mehr vom Gitarren-Sound verloren. Ein Puffer kompensiert diese Signalbeeinträchtigung und somit den Sound-Verlust für lange Kabel – selbst, wenn die Stimmfunktion aus ist.

Der ULTRA-BUFFER verbessert die Klangqualität im Bypass-Betrieb und erhält bei Verwendung eines langen Kabels somit den Sound, ganz gleich, ob es direkt mit dem Tuner oder zunächst mit einem komplexen Effekt-Board verbunden ist.

Der Pitchblack XS erlaubt Wechsel zwischen dem True Bypass- und dem Ultra Buffer-Modus, um in jeder Lebenslage den optimalen Sound zu erzielen.

When you are using a cable there is a loss of tone, usually high frequencies, after about 6 m (around 18 feet) and this problem gets worse the longer your cable. A buffer boosts the signal over long cables to avoid loss of tone, keeping it clean and clear - even when your pedal is off.

The ULTRA BUFFER enhances the sound quality in bypass mode, so that you can still maintain audio quality even when using a long cable to connect to the tuner, or when inserting the tuner into a complex effects board.

On the Pitchblack XS, you can switch between true bypass and the ULTRA BUFFER, according to your tastes and environment.

Ein Trugschluss, der dies noch unterstützt is die Annahme dass True Bypass immer gut ist, denn ganz stimmt dies leider nicht. Der Little Black Buffer kommt genau hier ins Spiel und versorgt dein Rig mit genau der richtigen Eingangsimpedanz, damit du am Ende einen klaren, natürlichen Sound hast, der klingt als hättest du dich direkt in den Amp gestöpselt.

This may be the greatest weapon you didn’t know you needed. For those of us who are a little “pedal happy” there can be some downfall to our tone. When running a pedal board with more than one or two effects, something called “capacitance” happens. This natural problem happens due to the amount of cable or line that your signal has to travel through, not to mention bad switching systems in certain pedals. The result is a very audible amount of high-end loss, weak signal, flabby bass and uncharacteristic pickup behavior in guitars. Another problem is the assumption that all “true bypass” is good. This isn’t true and actually can be worse than imagined. This is where the “Little Black Buffer” steps in providing the perfect input impedance to your rig and giving you the final result of clear, natural tone that sounds like you're plugged straight into your amp.

The Rodenberg Killmister is a pedal designed for guitarists, specifically an automatic kill switch effect pedal. It allows for a range of kill times, from 100ms to 400ms, which can be set using a rotary switch. The pedal can be used as a hard kill before an amplifier or in the signal chain to reduce switching noise. The Killmister also features a red status LED that lights up during the kill time. It is available in a compact mini XS housing with a sleek design and “killer instinct”.

MXR knows phasers. The Phase 90's compact size, superior construction, and refined sound put MXR on the map, and it set the standard by which all other phasers are judged. Two years later, MXR released the Phase 45—a mellower version of the effect favored for its ability to easily blend into a band's mix. Now, you can get both iconic circuits in a single pedal while tightening up your pedalboard at the same time. The Phase 95 combines the Phase 45 and Phase 90 circuits in a mini housing with about half the footprint of a standard MXR pedal. The 45/90 switch toggles between the Phase 45 mode's subtle two-stage phasing and the Phase 90 mode's more pronounced four-stage phasing, while the Script switch toggles between two phasing styles. The Phase 95 is set to modern style phasing by default, which relies on feedback to create light harmonic distortion and gives the effect a more accentuated swoosh. Engaging the Script switch removes feedback for a lusher, more subdued sound with higher headroom and greater clarity. The familiar Speed control sets the rate of the effect. The Phase 95 may be small, but it's full of rich phase tones, and it'll take a beating on the road.

The FET Driver features a simple but responsive set of controls. We borrowed his amps so that the MXR team could carefully analyze all the sonic qualities that make them sound so darn good. After much analysis and A/B testing, our engineers rebuilt the amps from scratch in pedal circuit form and fit them into a single housing.
