This board shows how to get close to the Jimi Hendrix sound. Absolutely essential for his sound was a Fender Stratocaster, a Wah Pedal, a Germanium Fuzz and a Uni-Vibe. The whole thing amplified by a Marshall Superlead Plexi (the Woodstock setup). On this board we expand the palette a bit to cover all facets of his sound.

Das Electric Vibe ist ein analoges Phaser/Vibrato-Pedal, das die klassischen Vibe-Sounds mit zusätzlichen einzigartigen Funktionen kombiniert.

Die ENVELOPE ist wahrscheinlich das, was ihn am meisten auszeichnet. Wenn die Hüllkurvenfunktionen aktiviert sind, kannst du eine dynamische, reaktionsschnelle Modulation erhalten, die der Intensität des Saitenzupfens und Akkordschlagens genau folgt. Was bedeutet das eigentlich? Wenn zum Beispiel die SPEED- und/oder DEPTH-Hüllkurve aktiviert ist, kann die Modulationsrate/Amplitude entsprechend der rhythmischen Akzente variieren, was subtile oder dramatische Veränderungen des Effekts ermöglicht. Es ist wirklich so, als ob du den Effekt „spielen“ würdest!

The Electric Vibe is an analog phaser/vibrato pedal which combines the classic vibe tones with additional unique features.

Electronically it’s inspired by the Univibe (TM) circuit and features a similar optical system to modulate the signal by going through four phase shifting stages.

The ENVELOPE is probably what makes it stand out the most. When envelope functions are engaged you can get dynamic responsive modulation which accurately follows string picking and chord strumming intensity. What does it mean after all? For example with SPEED and/or DEPTH envelope engaged the modulation rate/amplitude can vary according to rhythmic accents, allowing for either subtle or dramatic changes in the effect output. It’s really like you are “playing” the effect!

The Echoplex EP-3 tape echo unit is famous for its deliciously warm, organic modulation and sweet musical voice—a key component to some of the most iconic guitar tones from the '70s onward. The original EP-3 units, however, are expensive, temperamental, and larger than a VCR.

That's where the EP103 Echoplex Delay comes in. It's the size of a Phase 90, and it delivers the EP-3's legendary tones with a simple control interface and a hi-fi all-analog dry path. The Delay control sets the time between repeats—from 65ms to 750ms—the Sustain control sets the number of repeats, and the Volume control sets the output level of your repeats.

Catalinbread’s Talisman plate reverb is touted as a homage to the plate reverbs of the 70s, famously used on Pink Floyds iconic Dark Side of the Moon album. To clarify, according to Musician on a Mission, plate reverb is “a clever way of imitating the way sound reverberates through a room. Plate reverb units are big, enclosed cases. Hanging inside of the case is a thin metal sheet, aka the “plate.” When a sound is played into a plate reverb unit, vibrations inside of the case create the illusion of reverb“.

The FET Driver thickens up lead tones with musical, amp-like distortion and sustain without the fragility and inconsistency associated with tubes.

The FET Driver features a simple but responsive set of controls. Set your volume level with the Output control, and then use the Drive control to dial in the grit, from subtle soft-clipping to early stage distortion. Layers bases its main experience off a threefold sustain effect that deals in, its namesake, layers. Three onboard sustain layers play concurrently to one another to fashion complex and interesting weaves of notes, as triggered by a variety of methods. By utilizing the dedicated footswitch, Layers can be played manually to sustain notes or remotely by playing dynamics.
