A compact digital reverb pedal with pure-analog dry signal path, true-bypass switching, and controls for Time, Tone, and Reverb (depth), the Silver Spring proved a sparkling little performer in a range of settings. It doesn’t go splash when you kick it, and you might detect just a hair of pulsing in the wash of the effect’s decay, but all in all it’s a stellar sounding unit

The TA-24 Booster is a versatile electrical instrument preamplifier that allows up to 30dB of full-range level boost, with the additional possibility to switch in a high-pass filter with various selectable corner frequencies. The Gain ist continously adjustable, a Tone control offers an additional means of sound shaping.

Although primarily designed for the use with an electrical guitar, it may also be used with other instruments. Being very similar in circuitry to the TA-23 Booster, it is based on discrete germanium transistor circuitry and will therefore always add a flavour to the sound, especially at high gain settings.

Edward Van Halen's Gitarrensound auf dem Debüt Album von1978 katapultierte ihn schlagartig in dem Olymp des Rock und selbst nach mehr als 25 Jahren hat die Gitarrenarbeit auf diesem Album nichts von ihrer Faszination eingebüßt. Den unglaublichen Sound, den EVH auf dieser Platte kreierte, gehört zu den absoluten Meilensteinen des Rock und ein wichtiger Bestandteil dieses Sounds war von vornherein der MXR Phase 90. Der Phase 90 trug maßgeblich zu den zeitlosen Gitarrensounds von “Eruption,“ “Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love,“ “On Fire,“ und “Atomic Punk“, sowie vieler anderer klassischer Van Halen Stücke bei. Entstanden aus einer Zusammenarbeit zwischen Eddie Van Halen und Jim Dunlop ist der EVH 90 eine komplett neu designte Version des legendären Phase 90. The Carl Martin Octa-Switch II anchors the setup for quick live changes, while staples like the Big Muff Pi, Strymon blueSky, and Carbon Copy add saturated filth, cavernous reverb, and analog warmth. A Drone Rainger sits up top for chaotic, glitched-out textures — a clear nod to the band’s more experimental side.

Modulation comes courtesy of an MXR Phase 90 and Ibanez Weeping Demon wah, with additional character from a Pharaoh fuzz and a unique high-headroom overdrive/tone shaper that hints at Janek’s deep commitment to tonal sculpting. Expect seismic fuzz, sculpted mid scoops, and sudden eruptions of beautifully unhinged noise.
