The Lovetone Big Cheese is an analogue fuzz pedal produced in England in the mid 1990s.
It is based around a multi stage transistor fuzz circuit with a wide gain range.
The pedal provides controls for volume, sustain, tone, and a rotary selector for different fuzz modes.
Available modes include tighter distortion sounds as well as heavily gated and spluttering fuzz textures.
The design allows both smooth sustain and aggressive, compressed tones depending on the selected setting.
It is housed in Lovetone’s large steel enclosure with multiple footswitches and status indicators.
