Description
The Thorn is our collaboration with post-metal powerhouse Amenra — an attempt to distill the unmistakable voice of Lennart Bossu into a form that can live on any stage, in any rig, anywhere in the world.
We reverse-engineered Lennart’s Providence Stampede SDT-1 and reimagined it with critical evolutions including a 1 kHz mid control and an adjustable footswitchable boost.
SDT-1 mode keeps the original’s soul; SDT-2 adds more compression/saturation; laerm is a proprietary voicing that’s more open and louder.
A bypassable 3-band active EQ is included, with an EQ-lift option to remove the tone stack for a direct guitar→amp connection.
Features include Lichtlaerm Audio Smart Relay bypass, footswitchable boost, and a high-headroom design with an internal charge pump.Media
