Der berüchtigte Harmonic Percolator-Schaltkreis ist auf maximalen Klang getrimmt. Geeignet für schmutzige Suboktaven und mutwillige Rückkopplungen, bis hin zu einem Hauch von Grit oder einem Transistor-Booster, der den Verstärker knallt. Eindeutig mehr als nur ein Fuzz.

Wie das Original HP-1 verwendet auch das Hurts sowohl Germanium- als auch Siliziumtransistoren, die sorgfältig ausgewählt und auf Klang und Verstärkung abgestimmt wurden. Im Inneren befinden sich mehrere Trimmer, einer zum Einstellen des Oktav-Sweetspots“ und einer zur Gain-Kompensation im Falle von Oszillationen.

Er verwendet Germanium-Dioden wie im originalen HP-1 und hat einen Schalter, um auf Silizium-Dioden umzuschalten, die etwas lauter sind (mein Favorit im Bass). In der Mittelstellung überbrückt dieser Schalter die Dioden, was ihn zu einem lauten Transistor-Booster macht, der das Front-End eines Verstärkers wirklich antreibt. 

The infamous Harmonic Percolator circuit tuned for maximum tone. Capable of filthy sub octave and wilful feedback, through to just a hint of grit, or an amp slamming transistor booster. Definitely more than just a fuzz.

As in the original HP-1 the Hurts uses both germanium and silicon transistors carefully selected and graded for both sound and gain. Inside it has a couple of trimmers, one to tune in the octave "sweet spot" and one for gain compensation in case of oscillation.

It uses germanium diodes as in the original HP-1 and has a switch to change to silicon diodes which are slightly louder (my favourite on bass). In the mid position this switch bypasses the diodes making it a loud transistor booster that really pushes the front end of an amp.

HP-2 is a distortion device, based on the harmonic percolator. A genuinely unusual design that is instantly recognizable. Known as a sonic doomsday device, but can easily be dialed down to add just a touch of harmonic richness. Harmonics (H) controls the input level and Balance (B) controls the output level. Rocker switches in and out the clipping section. Switch left for 1970s. Switch right for absolute destruction.

OAMP is an output driver designed to replace a conventional output buffer or gain pedal at the end of your chain. If you’re familiar with EUNA, it’s a similar concept but with a few key differences. High headroom, clean gain, great drive capability. They key features are labeled below. There are subtle tonal variations in the gain settings. Maximum clean output level is 20dB. 29dB of gain available. OAMP makes enough gain to drive your amp into breakup without adding it’s own distortion, or you can use it to trim hot signals from your pedalboard. The insert loop is active when OAMP is OFF, so you can easily swap from clean drive to a dirt pedal, alternative preamp or anything you want really. With nothing plugged into the insert OAMP is True-Bypass when switched off.

The Justin Chancellor Cry Baby Wah is a multi-tool of sonic craftsmanship, combining three separate effects into a single pedal: the fluid expressiveness of a custom midrange filter, the bright aggression of a custom wah circuit, and the chainsaw grind of a vintage fuzz. It's the perfect complement to bass player Justin Chancellor's multi-dimensional role in the band Tool. Whether opening up soundscapes with chords and harmonics or syncing up with guitarist Adam Jones to perform arresting single-note unison runs, Justin goes above and beyond the traditional boundaries of his instrument to help compose the band's multi-layered tunes. Bei den Ausgängen wird das gepufferte Signal auf beide Ausgänge verteilt, wobei Ausgang 2 die Option bietet, den Boost-/EQ-Bereich zu umgehen, und zudem über einen Ground-Lift verfügt, um Brummprobleme zu vermeiden. Diese Anordnung ermöglicht unkompliziertes Amp- und DI-Recording oder Multi-Amp-Setups mit einfacher Bedienung.

Heavy duty construction and a big bright display start off the long list of features and attributes of the CHUG TUNER+. The Tuner itself is a +/-1c accuracy tuner with super-fast response for the live setting and drop tune modes are easily accessed. Tuning can be continuous even when muted or can engage only when muted depending on your preference. From the input stage you get what everyone has been asking for: Gain Boost & Low Frequency tailoring. The Boost/EQ section is foot-switchable with a healthy 20db and the High Pass filter EQ can be bypassed or set to very familiar 720hz & 1k settings mirroring the classic boosts of all time. Moving to the outputs, the buffered signal is split to both outputs with output 2 having the option to bypass the Boost/EQ section and also a ground lift to solve AC noise issues. This arrangement allows for simple amp + DI recording or multi-amp setups with ease of operation. Whether on stage, in the studio or home, the Tuner+ is the world’s most fully featured tuner pedal.
