The improved RockBoard® MODs V2 are simple all-in-one patchbays for RockBoard pedalboards with a new, refreshed design, and compact housing. Utilizing the MOD slot on all new RockBoards® (except the DUO series), they provide various cable connections to fit a wide variety of needs as a convenient patchbay. With the RockBoard® MODs, you can permanently connect your pedals underneath your board and organize all connections to and from your effects setup in one convenient module. The RockBoard® MODs provide a central access point from your instrument to your amp, as well as your power supply via IEC, and a 2.1 x 5.5 barrel thru power connector. Die Regelmöglichkeiten für Length (Länge des Nachhalls), Dampen (Tone), Reflect (Depth, Regeneration) und Mix (Wet/Dry-Mix) sind bekannte Parameter bei Reverb-Pedalen und arbeiten sehr intuitiv. Der Diffuse-Regler kontrolliert die Streuung des Nachhalls und ermöglicht je nach Setting aggressivere Sounds, bei denen das Einsetzen der einzelnen Wiederholungen deutlicher hörbar oder weicher und verwaschener wird. Der Drag-Regler trennt die digitalen Delay-Gruppen voneinander. So rücken den Repeats je nach Setting näher aneinander (Hall-ähnlicher Effekt) oder werden auseinander gezogen, sodass statt eines Halls verstreute Ping-Pong-Effekte zu hören sind.

The EarthQuaker Devices Afterneath V3 sounds a lot like it looks: a sound wizard bursting forth from ethereal cave and ready for the ambient reverb battle. The pedal offers an extremely wide range of different, vast, expansive, and magical ambient reverbs and covers all possible effects from wild and cavernous reverb effects to atmospheric reverberations of short digital delays to scattered, rhythmic delays with bizarre characteristics. The controls for Length (decay length of the reverb), Dampen (tone), Reflect (depth, regeneration) and Mix (wet/dry mix) are well-known parameters for reverb pedals and work very intuitively. The Diffuse knob adjusts the spread of the reverb, turned counterclockwise, the reverb is sharper with more attack, resulting in a stuttering sputter of individual early reflections. Clockwise casts a washy, more ambient-sounding effect. Drag separates the individual digital delay lines, clockwise positions will gather the delay lines close together for a more reverb-like effect. Turn the Drag counterclockwise, and the delay lines will begin to pull apart for a scattered ping-pong delay effect.

This design boasts an amazing 600ms of delay time with optional modulation via a top-mounted switch and a simple, three-knob layout that controls Delay time, Mix (dry/wet blend), and Regen (delay repeats)-all in a pedal no bigger than a Phase 90. In addition, two internal trim pots offer user-adjustable width and rate control of the modulation for even more tonal options. The Carbon Copy will take you from crisp “bathroom” slap echoes to epic, Gilmour-esque delays with a twist of a knob. True hardwire bypass, single 9-volt operation, and stage-ready blue LEDs round out the package.

Over the years the Morning Glory is undoubtedly JHS’ most known and praised overdrive pedal. Nun bringt der Hersteller aus Long Island, New York, mit dem Philosopher’s Tone Micro eine abgespeckte Version des Pedals, das zum einen in einem kleinere Gehäuse steckt und zum anderen auf den Distortion verzichtet.

Famous for its noiseless clean sustain, the Philosopher’s Tone has staked its claim in the crowded world of compressor pedals. In addition to Volume and Sustain controls, the Philosopher’s Tone features a parallel Blend knob that allows the musician to mix their instrument’s original tone with the compressed sound effect. This technique restores natural pick-attack and allows more extreme sustain settings to remain musical. The Treble control provides up to a 6db cut or boost at 2kHz for fine-tuning the frequency response of the effect. The Philosopher’s Tone features true-bypass switching and internal 18V power rails for maximum clean headroom, even when used with hot pickups and line level signals.
