Zakk Wylde, der eigentlich Jeffrey Phillip Wiedlandt heißt, wurde 1987 von Ozzy Osbourne entdeckt und als Nachfolger von Jake E. Lee in dessen Band aufgenommen. Die Merkmale seines sehr fleischigen und gleichzeitig virtuosen Spiels beinhalten, neben viel Gain, auch ständig eingewobene Harmonics, die immer einen gewissen 80er Touch vermitteln. Wer Mr. Wylde kennt, der hat sicher auch direkt dessen schickes Les Paul Signature Modell mit der charakteristischen Bullseye-Lackierung vor Augen.
