The Sinkhole is perhaps our most ethereal reverb unit to date. We’ve combined a harmonically-rich “hole” reverb with an impossibly deep four-voice chorus that’s been outfitted with a feedback control and a gentle high-cut filter. Within this arrangement, the feedback control allows the Sinkhole to reach deep within the reverb to extract some truly otherworldly tunable modulation, featuring everything from comb filtering to pseudo-phaser to haunting auto-filtering. That aspect never gets out of control; it’s all wrapped up within the confines of the reverb. We’ve stretched the reverb trails out to their absolute limit, with the maximum decay time almost freezing your signal in space. Extreme settings evoke warm synthesizer pads, reminiscent of vintage analog-digital hybrids, holding your modulated note indefinitely. Combine all that with a full wet-dry blend and a warm preamp circuit, and you’re beginning to feel the gravity of the Sinkhole. Let’s get pulled in, shall we?

Der After Bias Regler des Carcosa Fuzz in Kombination mit den beiden Kippschalter-Stellungen schafft eine episch weite tonale Bandbreite von knusprig fettiger Schweineschwarte bis hin zum Rascheln von trockenem Pergament. Seine Vielseitigkeit macht das Carcosa Fuzz zum perfekten Kumpanen für angezerrte oder cleane Amps. True Bypass, Tonnen an Output, das Antlitz des “Königs in Gelb“ setzen das Carcosa in Szene für fuzzige Crazyness! Das DOD Carcosa Fuzz verfügt über eine (leicht) übertriebene Mid-Range und sein Treble Charakter stellt im Mix ganz weit nach vorne. Designt um sich gegen stahlharte Riffs durchzusetzen und auch beim Akkordspiel ungemeine Artikulation der einzelnen Töne zu bieten. Allerdings sind mit extremen Bias (AFTER) Einstellungen eine Menge abgefahren kranke Over-the-Top Sounds möglich. The DOD Carcosa Fuzz is a doorway into an alternate fuzz universe, where classic tones of legend coexist with splattered and shattered Pollock abstractions. Combining the Carcosa’s wide-ranging AFTER bias control with two toggle positions creates tones that range from porcine fatness to dessicated shards. This versatility makes the Carcosa Fuzz a good companion for dirty or clean amps. True bypass, tons of output, and the visage of the King in Yellow sets the stage for fuzzy madness. The DOD Carcosa Fuzz has an exaggerated mid-range and treble character that help it stand out in a mix. It has been designed to cut through a dense and heavy band but still have great note articulation with chords. However, when extreme bias (AFTER) ranges are selected many wild and over-the-top sounds are possible.

Unser Gründer, der auch Musiker ist, ärgerte sich in den 70er Jahren über die Qualität der verfügbaren Effektpedale - sie waren einfach zu laut. Also machte er sich als Ingenieur daran, ein Pedal zu entwickeln, das seinen Erwartungen und hohen Ansprüchen gerecht werden würde. So wurde 1976 das SCF geboren, und der Rest ist Geschichte, wie man so schön sagt. Aber hey! Niemand hat gesagt, dass die Geschichte zu Ende ist. Im Gegenteil, wir schreiben diese Geschichte weiter. Tatsächlich hat sich der Kreis geschlossen und wir treten in eine neue Ära der SCF-Geschichten ein. Darf ich vorstellen: SCF GOLD - ein legendäres Pedal!

So, being an engineer, he set out to design a pedal that would live up to his expectations and high standards. That was how the SCF was born all the way back in 1976, and the rest is history as they say. But hey! No one said the story was over. On the contrary, we’re adding to that history. In fact, it has come full circle and we’re really entering a new era of the SCF tales. Please meet SCF GOLD – a legendary pedal to be!
