Description

The Iron Ether Subterranea is a multi-timbral analog pitch-tracking oscillator and octave pedal designed to generate three distinct synth-style voices alongside a clean signal path. Developed in collaboration with engineer Don Stavely, it tracks the input frequency to produce a fat low octave voice with variable harmonic timbre, an octave-down synth voice, and a unison-pitched synth voice. Both synth voices incorporate selectable waveform options including saw, square, and narrow pulse waves for extensive tone shaping. Top-mounted audio jacks and power connections optimize pedalboard layout efficiency while supporting relay-based true bypass switching. Each unit is individually machine-engraved and hand-painted housed in a compact metal chassis.
