And while the name might imply that the pedal is based on Johnson’s iconic “Cliffs of Dover” tone, Hermida says he sought inspiration from the guitar sound on Johnson’s “Righteous.” But focusing exclusively on Eric Johnson-like attributes overlooks that fact that the Dover Drive is a touch-responsive, dynamic, and wide-ranging overdrive suitable for any player who loves transitioning from “smooth” to “growl.”

Der LovePedal Hermida EPH-3 ist ein atemberaubender Bandechosimulator, der den vollen Charakter eines echten Band-Delays in einer Box wiedergibt, die auf jedes Pedalboard passt. Sein Old-School-Design und die einfachen Bedienelemente erinnern an einige klassische Pedale der 80er Jahre, aber glauben Sie mir, dieser Sound ist viel knackiger und klarer als bei all diesen alten Schaltkreisen.

The LovePedal Hermida EPH-3 is a stunning tape echo simulator that brings across the full character of a real tape delay in a box that will fit on any pedalboard. Its old school design and simple controls remind us of some classic 80's pedals but trust me this sounds is much crisper and much clearer than any of those old circuits.

Zendrive Black Magic II

Die rechte Seite ist ein Low-Gain-Zen-II, die linke Seite ein High-Gain-Sound im Stil von Robben Ford. Ich nutze die rechte Seite als Always-On und die linke als High-Gain-Solo-Boost. Selbst bei diesen Lautstärke- und Gain-Einstellungen ist es ziemlich laut und druckvoll. Der High-Gain-Sound gefällt mir sogar viel mehr, als ich erwartet hatte – er liefert ein absolut geschmeidiges Lead-Tone-Erlebnis. Ich weiß, dass es von Robben Ford und Dumble inspiriert ist, aber es erinnert mich stark an den 80er-Jahre-Clapton-Soldano-Sound.

Right side is lower gain Zen II, left side is higher gain Robben Ford sounding. I’ve been using the right side as an always on and the left side as a higher gain solo boost. Even at those volume / gain levels, it’s pretty loud and gainy. I’ve liked the higher gain sound much more than I thought I would. Nails the smooth lead sound. I know it’s Robben Ford / Dumble inspired, but reminds me a lot of the 80s Clapton Soldano? sound.
