When we released our original Compressor back in 2011, it quickly became a favourite among guitar and bass players alike who were searching for something more than the typical oversimplified controls found on most compressor pedals. Although our original Compressor sounded great on bass (and still does!) we set out to do even better. 

On top of the full range of features and controls normally only seen in high end studio equipment, such as input and gain reduction metering, independent attack and release controls, a mix knob for parallel compression, and an external sidechain insert, we’ve now added a fully variable sidechain high pass filter, and a two position ‘tone + colour’ circuit which adds gentle tone sculpting and harmonic distortion, giving your bass some delicious character.

Es gibt viele Pedale, die einen Röhren-Breakup simulieren. Wir haben uns entschieden, keinen Röhren-Distortion nachzubauen, sondern echte Vakuum-Röhren einzusetzen. Das Herz des kompakten MTG Pedals besteht aus einer NOS (New Old Stock) US-made 6205 Vorstufenröhre. Ein 3-Band-EQ mit Tight-Schalter sowie zuschaltbarem Boost und eigenen Level- und Boost-Reglern ermöglicht kreatives Klangdesign mit dem Original-Röhrensound.

Fender has expanded their line of ruggedly built pedals considerably over the past two years. New to their line of tube-based pedals, the MTG: LA Tube Distortion joins their two other tube-based pedals (see our review of the Tube Tremolo). And while overdrive pedals may seem to be a dime a dozen, this particular pedal was designed in collaboration with famed amp builder, Bruce Egnater (If you don’t know who Bruce Egnater is, visit the Egnater Amps website and read up).

MTG Tube Distortion

We have had many requests for a more straight sounding delay pedal that is clearer and more true to the incoming guitar signal. By using new hardware, we not only created a very studio-like sounding delay, but we were able to increase the delay time to a maximum of 3 seconds. It sounds more modern and it doesn´t distort or warble – it merely sends out what you put in, only a little later and in a very pleasing way.
Just like all our other delays, the dry signal is kept analog, so there is no latency or coloring from the converters to the dry signal.

Synchronisiere deine Modulations Rate per Knopfdruck mit dem Source Audio Toolbox External Tap Tempo Switch. Der Tap Tempo Switch ist kompatibel mit allen Source Audio One Series Modulations Pedalen. Nutze ihn um die LFO Geschwindigkeit des Vertigo Tremolo, Lunar Phaser, Gemini Chorus und Mercury Flanger auszutappen. Der SPEED Regler auf diesen Pedalen setzt dann die Unterteilung in Viertel-, Achtel-, Sechzehntelnoten oder Achtel-Triolen. Von 7-9 Uhr auf dem SPEED Regler der One Series Pedals gibt dir Viertel-Unterteilungen, 9-12 Uhr Einstellungen Achtelnoten, 12-3 Uhr Achteltriolen und bei 3-5 Uhr bekommst du Sechzehntel Unterteilungen des getappten Beats. Der Tap Tempo Switch kann außerdem auf dem One Series Nemesis Delay die Delay Time setzen und Presets schalten. Sync your modulation rate on-the-fly with the Source Audio Toolbox External Tap Tempo Switch. The Tap Tempo Switch is compatible with all Source Audio One Series modulation pedals. Use it to tap out the LFO speed of the Vertigo Tremolo, Lunar Phaser, Gemini Chorus, and Mercury Flanger. The Speed knob on each pedal sets the beat division to quarter, eighth, triplets, or 16th notes. 
South of 9 o’clock on the SPEED knob of Source Audio One Series Pedals will give you quarter note beat divisions, 9 to 12 o’clock gives you eighth notes, 12 to 3 gives you triplets, and 3 to 5 gives you 16th notes. 
The Tap Tempo Switch will also set the Delay Time or externally recall presets on the One Series Nemesis Delay. In addition, the Switch has a standard 1/4" output for use with compatible third-party products (normally open [NO], single pull/single throw (SPST)).

Oder den Sustainer von Fernandes, ein Pickup, der ebenfalls die Saiten zum Schwingen bringt, wenn er per Schalter dazu aufgefordert wird. Und natürlich muss beim Umbau der Gitarre einer der vorhandenen Tonabnehmer dem Sustainer weichen.

If you want to reverse the function of the heel-down and toe-down positions, the DVP4 has another internal switch that allows you to do so.
