Das originale Focus Fuzz wurde entwickelt, um den vollen Geschmack von Vintage-Fuzz ohne viel Schnickschnack zu liefern. Es folgte eine Vollsiliziumversion mit einer dunkleren, sanfteren Version dieser Schaltung. Dennoch erhielten wir zahlreiche Anfragen, das Original neu aufzulegen.

Doch wir wollten nicht darauf verzichten, es zu erweitern und haben der Deluxe-Version zwei neue Schaltungen hinzugefügt, die die einzigartige Focus-Steuerung optimal nutzen – einen Overdrive-Modus für leichtere Gain-Sounds und einen strukturierten, nahezu sauberen Boost, den Sie am liebsten dauerhaft eingeschaltet lassen möchten.

The original Focus Fuzz was designed to deliver all the flavour of vintage fuzz with none of the fuss. Limited to just 250 units because of its germanium transistor, this pedal sold out in a matter of days back in 2023. An all-silicon version followed, offering a darker, smoother take on this circuit, but we nevertheless received many requests to reissue the original.

But we didn’t want to do that without expanding on it and, in the Deluxe version, we’ve added two new circuits that capitalise on the unique Focus control – an overdrive mode for lighter gain sounds and a textured, almost-clean boost that you may want to leave on all the time.

Das Dunlop CBJ95 Cry Baby Junior Wah wurde speziell für den Einsatz auf Pedalboards entwickelt. The Cry Baby Junior Wah is purpose-built for pedalboards. Designed in collaboration with Pedaltrain, this wah has been carefully crafted for maximum layout efficiency on the world's most popular boards. Front-mounted input, output, and power jacks allow for a tighter configuration of pedals, freeing up space on the sides that would normally be taken up by cable ends. And speaking of cables, the Cry Baby Junior Wah's 8" housing length lines up perfectly with the routing spaces on boards such as those from Pedaltrain's Metro Series, in particular—as well as those from the Classic, Novo, and Terra Series—making for a nice, clean arrangement of cords.

The Cry Baby Junior Wah allows for just as much versatility in tone as it does for your pedalboard layout. On the side of the pedal is a convenient and accessible three-position switch that allows you to choose one of our three most popular Cry Baby Wah voices, covering the full frequency spectrum. The Keeley Dark Side is a full thick fuzz going into a modulation section which includes Uni-Vibe, Rotary Speaker and Multi Head Tape Delay among others, which is capable of yielding a ton of classic sounds inspired by David Gilmour. The Dark Side is not just a “Gilmour Tone emulator” though, in line with Robert Keeley’s “Neo Vintage” philosophy, it is rather his take on what he believes could have been improved on those classic tones should the technology had been around at the time. And it certainly shows, with features such as full-on magnetic drum delay emulation, the Dark Side offers a massive range tonal possibilities ready for you to discover.

Mosphoros ist ein weitreichendes Overdrive-Pedal von RhPf Electronics, das Gain nicht als Ein- oder Ausschaltmoment versteht, sondern als fließende Bewegung. Es kann unauffällig als transparenter Headroom-Boost im Setup bleiben und sich mit zunehmender Einstellung zu einem dichten, harmonisch reichhaltigen Drive entwickeln, der stets kontrolliert und geschmeidig bleibt. Entscheidend ist das Spielgefühl: Töne bauen sich organisch auf, reagieren direkt auf Anschlag und Dynamik und behalten dabei eine natürliche Tiefe, statt abrupt in Verzerrung zu kippen.

Im Inneren greifen mehrere MOSFET-Stufen ineinander, während die Bass- und Höhenregelung direkt im Rückkopplungspfad arbeitet. Dadurch beeinflussen sie nicht nur den Klang, sondern auch das Verhalten der Gain-Struktur selbst. Ergänzt wird dies durch einen CMOS-Kern mit bewusst langsamerem Ansprechverhalten, der dem Sound eine elastische, fast atmende Qualität verleiht. Mosphoros is RhPf Electronics’ wide-range overdrive built around one idea: making gain feel like motion rather than a switch between clean and dirty. It can sit in a rig as a high-headroom lift that keeps transients intact, then stretch into a harmonically layered drive that stays smooth even when pushed hard. The feel is the headline here. Notes swell, compress, and bloom while staying responsive to pick attack, with a long sweep from clarity to saturated weight instead of a single clipping point.

Under the hood, multiple MOSFET stages interact as the gain increases, while the Bass and Treble controls live inside the feedback path, shaping tone and influencing how the gain engine loads each stage. A CMOS core with a naturally slower response adds to the rounded, elastic attack, letting chords feel wide and single notes turn vocal without harshness. Er wurde entwickelt, um aggressive, gesättigte Distortion-Sounds mit erweiterten Einstellmöglichkeiten zu liefern. Der Distortion-Regler verwendet ein Dual-Gang-Potentiometer, das Fuzz mit Kompression und Sustain kombiniert. Für die finale Kompressionsstufe werden Germanium-Dioden eingesetzt. Das Pedal verfügt über separate Regler zur Anhebung von tiefen und hohen Frequenzen. Der THD wird handgefertigt und nutzt ausgewählte Bauteile zur Reduzierung von Nebengeräuschen und für gleichbleibenden Klang.

The THD is an HM-2 inspired fuzz distortion pedal developed from the first pedal ever built by Dazatronyx. It is designed to deliver aggressive, saturated distortion tones with expanded control compared to the original circuit. The distortion control uses a dual-gang potentiometer that blends fuzz with compression and sustain. A germanium diode clipping stage is used for the final compression stage. The pedal features low and high frequency boost controls for tonal shaping. The THD is hand built using selected components for noise reduction and tonal consistency.

Focus Fuzz Silicon

Der auf nur 50 Pedale weltweit limitierte OC201 Preamp verleiht dem bekannten Zwei-Transistor-Fuzz-Design eine neue Note und entlockt dieser rudimentären Schaltung alles von schlanken Boost-Tönen und urwüchsigen Drives bis hin zu rohem, organischem Fuzz.

Das alles ist einem Paar ungewöhnlicher NOS-Transistoren (New-Old-Stock) zu verdanken. Der OC201 war der erste von Mullard entwickelte Siliziumtransistor und wurde nach derselben Methode wie ihre Germanium-Bauteile hergestellt. Obwohl der OC201 schnell durch leistungsstärkere Designs und neuere Konstruktionsmethoden abgelöst wurde, ist er aufgrund seiner Einschränkungen – relativ geringe Verstärkung und begrenzte Bandbreite – ideal für unsere Zwecke.

Das Ergebnis ist ein artikulierter, reich strukturierter Fuzz, der irgendwo zwischen den Germanium- und Silizium-Archetypen liegt. Er ist extrem dynamisch und ausdrucksstark, mit fantastischer Lautstärkeregler-Reinigung.

Limited to just 50 pedals worldwide, the OC201 Preamp puts a new spin on the familiar two-transistor fuzz design, coaxing everything from lean boost tones and rootsy drives to raw, organic fuzz from this rudimentary circuit. 

It’s all thanks to a pair of unusual NOS (new-old-stock) transistors. The OC201 was the first silicon transistor developed by Mullard, manufactured using the same method as their germanium devices. Though the OC201 was quickly superseded by higher-performance designs and newer construction methods, its limitations – relatively low gain and limited bandwidth – make it ideal for our purposes.

The result is an articulate, richly textured fuzz that sits somewhere between the germanium and silicon archetypes. It’s extremely dynamic and expressive, with fantastic volume-knob clean-up.
