Take your favorite studio compressor to the stage with the MXR M87 Bass Compressor. A complete array of controls (Attack, Release, Ratio, Input, and Output) makes it easy to fine-tune your sound, from subtle peak limiting to hard squashed compression effects. Its Constant Headroom Technology gives you plenty of headroom and clear performance. This totally transparent compressor allows your full dynamic range to shine through until your signal reaches the compression threshold, which is indicated by the ten, highly visible gain-reduction status LEDs. It´s all packed into a durable, lightweight aluminum-housing pedal that´s the size of a Phase 90.

Mike Matthews, der Gründer von Electro-Harmonix, ist eine schillernde Figur. Mike Matthews, the founder of Electro-Harmonix, is a colorful figure. The hippie movement and Jimi Hendrix's evolution of the electric guitar served as a catalyst for him to develop the Big Muff distortion unit, which is still popular today. After phenomenal growth of his company in the golden age of rock'n'roll, the 1970s, disillusionment followed in the early 1980s - and finally bankruptcy.

Housed in a beautiful powder coated Blue 16ga. steel enclosure, the dual-channel Full-Drive 2 Mosfet gives you the best of both worlds. The first channel is the Overdrive Mode, capable of clean boost or non-compressed overdrive or choose light to medium softer overdrives all while retaining your guitar's original tone. The Tone knob is a very effective presence control that can smooth out or add upper harmonics. The second channel is the "Boost Mode" with its own separate distortion control for medium to higher gains with a more singing violin-like sustain!

One mini-toggle lets you choose between a "Vintage" FD2 sound with mid-heavy tones that cut through the mix and "FM (flat-mids)" for a more natural, transparent sound that works awesome with a Strat's neck pickup.
The other mini-toggle lets you choose between Mosfet and Normal clipping modes. Normal mode is even more asymmetrical, sweeter and more open, with no "blanket" over the sound.

Full-Drive 2 Mosfet

Der Small Stone von Electro Harmonix ist ein Phaser-Pedal, das 1974 von David Cockerell entwickelt wurde. Im Gegensatz zu seinem Hauptrivalen, dem MXR Phase 90, der einen JFET-Transistor verwendet, um die Frequenz seiner vier Stufen zu variieren, ist seine Schaltung um einen Transkonduktanz-OP-Verstärker herum aufgebaut. Der Small Stone wurde unter anderem von David Gilmour und David Bowies Gitarristen Carlos Alomar verwendet und war von Anfang an ein großer Erfolg, so dass er noch immer im Katalog der in Long Island ansässigen Marke zu finden ist.

The Small Stone from Electro Harmonix is a phaser pedal that was developed by David Cockerell in 1974. Unlike its main rival, the MXR Phase 90, which uses a JFET transistor to vary the frequency of its four stages, its circuit is built around a transconductance op-amp. Used by David Gilmour and David Bowie's guitarist Carlos Alomar, among others, the Small Stone was a huge success from the start, so much so that it can still be found in the Long Island-based brand's catalog.
